Hello,
I'm having a breakdown installing my new movement on an IWC Mark XVIII dial.
I have bought a Gen 2892-A2 movement, fitted the dial to the movement, tried all the crown positions, so far so good.
The problem I have had is using the retaining ring from the clone movement, in the end I have managed to put it on but could it be that this will give me problems installing the hands? Or maybe I have installed the ring in the wrong position?
When I try to put the Hour hand there is no way to fix it, I have seen tutorials, and it is not so difficult.
The clone vs gen movements seem to be the same size but I'm starting to have doubts, I'm attaching a photo in case someone can help me or explain if I've put the retaining ring wrong,
I think it doesn't fit because it doesn't protrude enough.
Thanks to all of you
