Hi All

I have a panerai 253 that I bought few years ago from a member here.

The movement don't have any markings on it besides a small marking that sais 25 jewels. No panerai markings on the movement at all. Also on the back Case there is no marking about the special watch number as it a special edition ( like 1/ 500 ) ect. The second chronograph hand is very light Blue that can be seen only from a specific angle. The chronograph works perfectly.

Anyone can put some light aboythe movement and the factory is was produced.

Thanks in advance.

You mean hobnail, true. The case back reads OP6640…that’s what’s throwing me off. Disregard.

A7750!

It's an older / lower grade 253 rep - probably picked up in a market somewhere 15 years ago. The 253 dial is more commonly referred to as a 'waffle' design - the hobnail dials are reversed. Here's an 028 for an example:

Take / post a clear picture where the rotor isn't obscuring the balance wheel...

A7750. There is a gear train to move the chronograph minutes counter to 3 o'clock position, so not a standard 7750. Yours is an older no name factory version, not an H factory which was considered the best version. You should have the existing movement serviced as finding a new drop in will be difficult should an issue arise .

Everyone is saying A7750, though it looks like a Swiss/ETA 7750 to me.... I'm not aware of every Chinese 7750 but I have not seen one with the ETA stamp under the balance wheel.

Perhaps the original A7750 took a dump and a previous owner swapped in the ETA7750.
