Since I stumbled upon RWI in early 2013 and bought my first rep, it has turned into a sort of obession for me...

The fun part of researching into the rep, reading review, learning the flaws and deciding which TD to get from eventually. Next came the anticipation of the QC pics and waiting for the watches to be shipped.

Since then, I must have bought 10 over reps. I have even bought an automatic watch winder for all my reps! All in I must have spent thousands!

My wife is scolding me for spending so much on reps but I cant seems to stop. This hobby is seriously addictive! Help!! :wyliehelp:

You'll stop buying reps as soon as you fall in love with....

A GEN !!
At this point You'll sell them all to buy the gen.
Once you bought it, you'll buy a rep to see if your gen still pleases you. And so on ... Forever

Just a 3-4 cheapies, that I picked up at Guangzhou Watch Market, and they're really rare and beautiful. Rest - good watches. I don't use term "super reps", because I think no such a things exist.

I do have a few gens but they are all in the safe now. I only wear my gens during occasions or dinners. Daily I am wearing my reps.

I guess one of the main reasons is that I am a pretty rough person and I have once chipped the sapphire glass of my PAM. Ouch! With my reps, it doesnt hurt that much if I damage them...still hurts....but not that much :D:

Saw another thread in the Flame-Free Zone where another guy is in exactly the same situation as I am. LOL! Seems like my wife is not the only one making noise.

So I told her nicely: "Dear, would u rather I spend on reps or do I rather I spend on other vices like gambling or women...."

Hi my names Dave, and I'm a repaholic. I have been watch buying free for 4 hours now. My last purchase was a pam190 8 day. I try to stay clean the best I can. Trying to live life 1 watch at a time. Oops I mean one day at a time. Probably why I can't stay clean keep mixing those two up.

Don't just stop at things like shoes and expensive clothes, pretty much anything to do with her hair i.e. colouring, treatments, perms etc cost a fortune!! You could buy probably two reps every six weeks from the amount they spend on hair! lol

Anyway, recently I worn my DSSD to office and showed it to my colleague who has the gen. I kept quiet at first when he was going over my watch, telling me which series etc and the engraving. After he is done. I told him its a rep and he almost fell off his chair!!

On closer inspection, he found that the date was slightly off and the sec hand sweep not very smooth (mine was a 21J). Other than that, he reckon it is almost identical to his gen in terms of weight and feel!

Yep same boat here. I actually was good for 2 months and I thought I was in the clear. And couple of weeks ago, a full blown relapse, a grand gone in a week.

It's always just a matter of time
I haven't bought one in two/three months now with the arrival of the new 3777 it's making it very hard to resist

Hi iggy, just a little update. I haven't bought a watch in 2 days. But I did buy a panerai polished 24mm buckle yesterday. Baby steps I guess...
