Please let me know what do you think about my choose option?

To me it looks very nice, although I am not an expert hence why I made this thread in the first place. Good price too, I'd say go for it.

hi mate,

was in your position a while ago - and can help out a bit.

1 and 3 are the same watches, but like you said movement is different (more detailed, hence more expensive.)

2 is from a different maker - hence different date font

you can tell the difference as the gap between numerals 8 and 9 (or VIII and IX) - 1 and 3 have a bigger gap than 2, (the space between the two Is)

my advice, get 1 or 3, but not from puretime.. 628 is ridiculous, and im almost certain that THIS is the same watch: http://www.marvellousreplica.com/products_detail.php?ProId=206

from MR, whos excellent and very very helpful.

avoid 2 - wrong datefont, although the space between numerals is correct.

i hope that helps!

Hi there, thanks a lot for your response, I appreciate it! :)

It seems quite a few people have been interested in this watch, but like myself have not yet purchased it because theres so many different versions to choose from. I will check out the link you sent and might even treat myself to (another) xmas present and pick one of these up!

Thanks again.

I'm glad it helped!

As far as I'm aware the only real difference between puretimes and MRs is movement.

Puretimes = eta 2892
MR = eta 2824

Which to me, doesn't make sense in paying 200+ extra! Plus, MR will send a movement qc pic, so it's a no brainerr!

I think I will be buying one too!

It's so confusing. I dont care about the movement. I do care about the exterior. Is it so hard to get one with the better dial & date font?

Please help.

haha under more observation mate, 1 & 3 have a better dial.. the spacing between the numerals and SWISS MADE is correct, plus the spacing also appears on the gen (albeit the RG version)..

go with MR! his watch is definitely the same, just a 2824, not a 2892. he has confirmed with me :)

Except the movement, are you sure it's the exact same watch?

Yes it is a lovely watch, I recently tried on one of my friends. Very classy. I never did get around to buying my own one however.

So which is the current best version? How is the date font as that appears to be the only thing that could vary from the gen as the rest of it looks perfect.

Need help with finding a new ballon blue and dealer

Hi this thread is really great and has come in handy as it has been quite some time since I have I have been on the forum. A lot has changed since I was last on. I purchased about 10 watches ferom Lay (Replicamake) and one from BK.
Of all the watches that I bought my wife her fav was the Balloon Blue ss mens with diamonds that I purchased from Lay.
I don't know the reason why he is no longer here but I was pleased with his service and atches. I guess he burnt out that is to bad he was very nice to me. I will miss him.
Well my wife as I said LOVES the Balloon Blue that she has and has been after me to get her another one. In fact she wants me to get her two more of the same balloon blue ss mens with diamonds. What can I say when she likes something she tends to stock up with back ups. LOL
As Lay is no longer around who should I go to to get the best deal. When I say "best deal" I mean of course the best customer service with QC pictures and or video, price and of course watch quality. My wife is not that concerned if the spaceing of the date font is off by a ml. She really is more concerned about reliability. She just really likes the classic look of the Cartier Balloon Blue. As I recall the Balloon that we got from Lay was in the $300 to $400 range.
So if any of you fine and wonderful watch people cand help me out with some good suggestions I will be able to move out of the dog house ( I have been procrastinating with her request for another Cartier Balloon Blue LOL) I will be most appreciative, and I promise to not be such a stranger on the forum.
Have a great day.

That looks like a good buy. $300 for 42mm swiss movement... Just wonder how the date font is.

is this an "ultimate" (i.e. the #1 or #3) but in a 2824-2 instead of 2892-2? http://www.silix-prime.co/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=115_128_174&products_id=4138

I've only ever owned up to a 2824-2, does anyone know if the sweep of the 2892 is actually perceptibly better? Is the power reserve better in the 2892? Not sure what the advantages would even be for the $200 difference.

Not sure if it is the ultimate, but it certainly looks like a good replica. Date font doesn't look too bad.

The 2892's sweep isn't smoother than the 2824, its just a thinner movement and is therefore more expensive.

Gen uses 2892.

Is this ultimate 2892 the best available?

I believe the dealers sell a black market ballon bleau with gen movement for $1500...
