Have I been scammed or am I reading too far into this?

You really shouldnāt have put him on blast man. If it were me Iād burn you on this transaction for damaging my reputation man. You have sullied his one time spotless reputation in perpetuity causing irreparable and irreversible damage over a measly $300 bucks.

The main thing I forgot to say was that I thought the error was on my part. Potentially I had gone through someone who wasnāt Steve e.g. I had gotten the wrong number.
It was a mistake but I was quite concerned and after a long day I just misread/ miss-interpreted the message.
However The title of the post almost immediately shows I believe the mistake is on my part. But you are right in saying I shouldnāt have put him on blast and for that I can only apologise to Steve.
thats the telephone number i have used to deal with steve and he IMHO is v reliableIMPORTANT: I am not trying to ruin Steveās reputation just want to make sure.
Hi all, had been in talks with who I assume to be Steve for 2 weeks and just yesterday sent $320 for my watch. I had already sent $50 for a deposit QC last week and everything went well. But today got a message that seemed a little fishy. I doubled checked he had received the payment and all I got in the return was āthanks a lotā.
Now I donāt want to call this is a scam straight away and potentially ruin Steveās reputation but itās not sitting right with me. I may just be paranoid about being scammed.
Any help would be appreciated.
why not contact him through this site to make sure you are in toucj with the real steve
Dont stress over it - i think you are right to double check on things like this and i dont think you are damaging any reputations
Steve is a good guy and will understand - I have had excellent support from him and he is v helpful
i needed some spare parts from him and they arrived literally this morning - all in good order

It could happen to anyone. As a matter of fact it happens all the time. People are forever getting scammed and ripped off because they get the wrong number or wrong site. All you can do afterwards is apologize and move on. I wouldnāt lose any sleep over. Itās not a big deal. I seen an opportunity to mess with you a bit and took it. Thatās all man.
i guess i think its a bit trivial - you know maybe just give the guy some latitude - and just maybe get over it a bit

I didnāt outright say I had. I was questioning my thoughts and I came here to check because people here have done this before and know a lot more than I do. Like someone else said I was merely ādouble checkingā and wanted to get an answer rather than wondering for ages.
Iāve also said Multiple times it was a mistake and I was wrong so I donāt see the point in continuing this, other than if I should message Steve first or leave it?
Donāt worry about it, the fact you are taking it on the chin bodes well. I got all butt hurt after getting the flame welcome to the board, which, after considering my poorly formed questions, I deserved. The members are cool, but you have to understand the level of stupidity they have to deal with (daily) āits over 9000ā, tbf I am amazed at the restraint.Well thatās just great isnāt it

You're fine. Steve is a TD here...not going to scam you etc.. Would not be a TD here if that ever happened. Post some pictures of your watch when it arrives. ....and this thread will be a faint memory in the future.Well thatās just great isnāt it

Since the revolut payment sometimes will cost around one to two days after you paid.
We need some time to confirm it.
You paid yesterday and we just received it today, and already processed shipping
The tracking number will be ok around three days ( the weekend)

I went to this building earlier. It had loads of cars parked outside it, as well as cars driving up to a window on the side of the building. There was also this enormous golden arches sign outside. I went in and a person in uniform said, "Welcome to McDonald's, can I take your order?"
