Not gonna lie...I've used all the same "tools" with no issue. When you're on the road you gotta use what you have on ya!

This could go wrong in so many ways and I don't even know where to start. A Rolex caseback opener wouldn't cost you more than those scissors.

Oh and is this a gen Rolex?

A little mistake and you will ruin your caseback definitively, or your hand !!
Besides, it is no necessary, you have rubber balls, tape and...specific cheap tools !!
What a silly and dangerous system!!

This MUST be the proper method and tools - the bottom of the screen says "Watch Professionals"!

I was seeing the potential for a real Monty Python moment when he was loosening the caseback! I also heard a slip 'click' went he was tightening it back up.

Otherwise handy home-brewed tricks. :) (and who doesn't like home brew?)

Yep, an awfully bad method of cleaning your Rolex. I actually watched this video before I found RWI and tried this method on my GEN Explorer II; needless to say, I scratched my dog on case back... I was furious.

Now after being a RWI member, I can clearly see that he used a REP watch; a cheaper 21j model at that...

I feel like an IDIOT... I cost me $100 to have the scratch buffed out and it is still noticeable!

Take it from me... either use the tape, the rubber ball, buy a case back opener (which I have since done) or take or send the watch to a watchmaker!

You did that to your gen?? That sucks.

A rep who gives a shit but never to a gen, damn man.
