Hello and WELCOME to RWI from the official reception front desk team!

You found the right place! You are receiving this reply either because you posted in the "New Members Say Hi" subsection or because I spotted one of your first posts on RWI elsewhere. In the latter case, please consider going to the aforementioned section and introduce yourself there.

If you haven't already, please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members section (in all subsections) as they contain important information for newbies and most importantly our forum rules!

A good starting point is this list of important resources on RWI:

Also, this please take a look at this particular sticky thread:

If you need further help, please feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We're always happy to help, but please keep in mind that we're doing this as volunteers. We have busy lives outside of the forum, so please allow some time for PM responses!

[This is NOT an automated message, despite it being a standard text. Replies are welcome & will be read by an actual human!!!]

This is a great thread for newbies like me, many thanks! 🙏
Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.

Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

As a new subscriber, you've already been directed to this thread, please read carefully and look through the linked additional threads:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.

For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.

This forum is a treasure trove of information and benefits from the engagement of all members who take their time to share their knowledge, help each other out and have some fun. We hope that you'll benefit and enjoy this platform as well as contribute positively to it.

If at any point you feel to contribute also on another level, feel free to pm the boss (trailboss99) to become a supporter and get some little perks with the status (editing rights, for example).

Enjoy the forum.

First, very helpful information. But, I had a question: I saw that this post was created back in 2015, and was wondering if all of this information was still up to date.

Wish I'd read this thread first b4 jumping in to purchase my first rep late last week, and being trustful of the seller and paying with PP friends and family
Lesson, I knew the funds had cleared my end and with no communication from the seller still held out hope things would be OK
Alas it seems I wasn't the only one scammed
Lesson learned

I'm thinking this has been done as they have frozen all his sale products
Do it either way. Sometimes it happens amends are made. If you're on the record, you may get something out of it. It also helps the internal investigation.

Really informative and helpful thread, thank you for the contribution. I'll echo the question of the poster above -- the post contains old links so I'm going to assume that a significant portion of it is "historical" and for reference only. I didn't see a last edited date on the post that lead to believe otherwise.

Another question for you all: I didn't see a specific reference to how we can engage in the Quality Control (QC) process. I did a quick search of the forum titles and a search of terms but didn't see an obvious area where it was advised to post group feedback on a QC for a new watch. Is asking for help on QC allowed here? I've seen public posts on other forums.

I'm sure as I familiarize myself with the site further I'll find the answer myself and will post back here!

Links may be dead in this one, but in this thread they're all ok ;)

It's a good starting point to help you Navigate the forum (especially QC)

Welcome & enjoy.

Read the sticky threads in all subsections of the new members area. You'll find all necessary information to start.
Generally, if it's stickied, it's important, so you may follow suit with the stickies in any forum subsection.
