Watch for the blue accents on the edges and base of the hands on the gen and compare with that on the rep

at some points, the crown looks similar and then it looks completely different.
you can also see the difference between the coated blue and GEN heat treated blue.
unfortunately there are a lot of inconsistencies when side by side like this.

The mark XVII by MK is very very good, keep in mind there were a few iterations to get there

Yes - also the big pilot and 3777 chrono from the previous collection was repped by ZF very well and is still available

I've been hesitant to try out any asian made chronographs. Has the A7750 issues been fixed?

Yep I actually am worried about it Will probably have to swap it for a gen ETA if my Asian one isnt decent.

Nothing to worry about the chronos - they are reliable and (the seconds at nine) easy to service if something goes sideways

I'm not a fan of the design. They ruined the aesthetic by adding the triple day window and red arrow.

It depends. I'm a fan of the triple day window and the red arrow. Looks more like a plane instrument in my eyes.

thanks for the photo. how is the genuine one’s date wheel alignment? is it left justified ? or just it is centered.

Received mine just now.

Honestly the hands aren't that bad IMO.

However the DW is clearly an issue here.
1. Misalignment of DW printing.
2. The quality of printing is not so good; you can't expect to see the 3D effect?
I am going to swap the DW for a gen ETA to fix this issue once and for all.

I suspected this was going to be the case. They are all off the in the same direction..

I would buy a gen IWC datewheel. Replacing it with a standard ETA date wheel would be even worse imho
