Well the results so far are surprising to me. I thought a lot more people would be interested in this model. Oh well, results are results. Thanks to all who have voted so far, and for all of the good discussion and comparison photos.

Where has this discussion like this been before? I stated in my first post that I had seen here and there people say they would like to see this watch rep'd. No where I have seen, has there been a collective effort to get a poll/opinion base on the matter.
It's been discussed next door on RWG before now. No poll, but the feeling was people were really enthusiastic until they saw how big it was. Then someone mentioned the Israeli version that's supposedly even bigger ...tootall said:

as a few previous posters have said, if david sen built a mini (yeah right!) 47mm version witha 6497 that otherwise looked like the real deal, i would be all over it.
i'd rather have a functional rep, rather than one i keep in a watch box (and why would you museum a replica anyway!).
at the original big egiziano size, anyone wearing it in public would look like a rapper imho.

I would not rep a 47mm mini version.
A 53mm watch seems to be very big but when looking at this lucky man wrist shot.
It is not soo big after all.
This watch tells a lot of Panerai history and I am very interested in repping this model indeed but in
more close to the Gen original size model.
Give me a few months time and there will be something coming out.
