Good Morning / Night

Hey bud, Good to see this thread bumped up. My wife is currently 7 1/2 months pregnant, which should say enough all on its own. I've got guardianship of my two nieces, so I'm busy doing school stuff with them and trying to get the house ready for a baby. We've had 7 1/2 months to prepare, and it still seems like I've got tons to do. Still need to build a crib, get rid of some clutter, sell a couple watches, etc. I interviewed yesterday at a local dive bar for a bouncing gig, I hope to bring some extra cash in before the baby gets here and while my wife isn't working. Her job is only paying 60% while shes out, and shes not eligible for disability so I've gotta come up with something. Plus i've got my regular job stress, so i'm tearing my hair out over here.

Man I don't know if I should hit that like or that dislike button over this one. It's a little 50/50. By the sounds of things, the bambino is your first though you have your hands full with the nieces. Children are such a blessing, I'm sure you've realized already. Congrats though. - but then the job situation sucks ass. I hope you get it sorted. Coping with the stress of one job is hard enough, but having to get a second, whilst dealing with your hands full of kids is killer, especially when bouncing on the door of a dive bar and all the crap that comes with it. I feel your pain mate and wish you well with the whole situation. How did the interview go?

The interview went well, They want me to go back sunday for another interview with the owner. I live in San Diego and the average guy here is a few inches shorter than me, and maybe 40lbs lighter, so I've got a huge advantage there. I explained that i've done Jiujitsu for a few years and I know how to carry myself in escalated situations. The only thing that could be holding me back is that in California you need a certification to be a bouncer, but I think this place gets away without it by calling the Doorguy a host instead, lol.

Glad it went well, hope round two goes even better. Over here they call it 'door security' now, and they all have to be licenced under the Security Industry Authority. There has been a debate for years about my line of work needing the same licencing, but we kind of get around it as rather than it being covert investigations like a PI, it's overt as the subject is aware of the fact they are being investigated.

Insurance investigator?

A lot if it is, yes. I'm the Head of Counter Fraud in the financial services sector, and much of our work / client base is large commercial insurance with high value loss. But I've studied forensic psychology and behavioural evidence analysis for years. My specialty is in interviewing suspects and twisting the thumb screws :D

Goodmorning from the Upside Down

Reporting in... Crazy busy year at work, been unwell with Man Flu for the last few weeks. Otherwise all good.
Kind of been out of the rep game for a while now.
My son will be home from Vancouver for Christmas, his 2 year working visa expires in Feb 2018. Hard to believe it has almost been 2 years since he left. Looking forward to having him home.

Wow, it seems not that long ago he was moving away. Two years has flown by, but I bet for you it’s seemed like an age

You do know you Good morninged yourself, don't you?

It's fine I talk to myself all the time. I find I understand what I am saying much better than anyone else. The conversations can get quit lively though.
