Puretime:
“This watch is not solid tungsten
Its CU-w metal added 904 stainless steel.
Inside it's mixed with tungsten .outside wrapped around by 904L
It will fade over the time but not that easily.”
(They asked ARF for verificated information)

JTime:
“The bracelet is made SS with the Tungsten to add the weight, the gold is 18K gold plated.
The case and bracelet is with 18K yellow gold plated stainless steel.
Also I would like to tell you, for all gold plated models, it will fade off around 1-2 years.
If it's well maintained, it will remain longer.”

Chazingtime:
“The case is a mixed of steel and tungsten. So 904 steel and tungsten then gold plated.”

Andiot:
Is the same material substance used for ARF as like for GMF?
“Yes”

Steve one watches:
Daydate is a gain weight inside the case, a circle of tungsten steel is added inside the back cover, and there is also tungsten steel in the strap, so the overall weight has increased, but the surface material is still 904 steel with plated.

This is amazing and thanks for doing the work. So arf was already the way to go for accuracy and it seems that they now have tungsten bracelet and steel on the outside if I am reading this correct. No more extra links scam!

Qf from the same fac owner

Looks great in the pics! Is the QF version thicker than GMF? The puretime website suggests QF is 13.5mm and trusty has GMF at 12.5...

I have a QF at 12.75mm, but the crystal sticks out a bit more than I'd like, so if we had a thinner gasket it would be close to 12.5mm.

My GMF plated is still holding strong after 1.5 years. It can be plated because its not tungsten alloy just tungsten caseback and weighted ring.

Nice! Have you had to be careful with it to last that long? Although I'm guessing it's probably not a daily wearer anyway. And do you know if the GMF is actually 12.5mm?

I can measure it when I get home. Altho it wears the same as a Datejust 41...

All I do is store in a watchbox wth desiccant bags and wipe it down after use. Gold plating coated in real gold will last a long time.

I wear it maybe 4-5x a month. I don't baby it that much. It has microscratches all over it but only visible under super strong light, typical of high polish surface.

Has anyone had experience with King Factory daydates? I think in the past they came out with daytonas that were more expensive than clean/btf, but not as good quality.

The KF daydate range is fairly recent release, but look more expensive than QF/GMF. Not sure which A2836 movement they come with, but they claim closer weight.

Just on the pics alone I think the dials look a bit off and case no better than GMF.

Is this stock plated or you had it replated? I usually wipe down my plated reps after use anyway, but might try the desiccant bags if i go further down the gold rabbit hole

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention this but the new way the factories are increasing the weight in the bracelets are by physically increasing the size of the links.

Gmf, qf, thb and Arf (pre august) have roughly the same link size.

I noticed because I size all my daydates to 23 links( including clasp ones) but the new model takes 22 to fit correctly.

I was meant to do a comparison between them all but my gmf and qf have been out of commission for a while.

This is the latest link size, October ARF compared to GMF.

Wow factories keep scamming. Can't we just get a bracelet with tungsten center with a 904L coating so we can get proper weight and plating.
