Just got mine. Looks good but primarily throwing it up for sale as the jubilee really isn’t my thing

This one is coming to me. I’ll do a comparison wit my BK Noob BLNR and also see if the Noob oyster and GMF jubilee are interchangeable.

Hi folks...here's my comparison of the GMF 126710 and BK Noob v7 116710.

Bezel insert
Winner - GMF by a hair

GMF insert is better than my aftermarket one mainly because of the painting of the numbers. But the paint is still far from gen. It's like a matte grey and has no gen like sparkle. Also the blue on the GMF doesn't seems right too me. It less brilliant and has a hint of grey in it. It makes the insert look a bit dull compared to the aftermarket one. I really think the aftermarket one is better if it could get a good paint mod. Mine has a mixture of Molotow and metallic car paint.


Noob

GMF

Bezel
Winner - Noob

Oh the bezel action on the GMF is so poor. It's so hard to turn while the Noob is nice and smooth. Also the Noob bezel is easier to grip. GMF bezel is a disappointment.


Bracelets
Winner - Noob oyster because of better look and feel

The GMF jubilee and Noob oyster where not interchangeable because of slight differences in the placements of the spring bar holes. Overall the GMF jubille feels cheaper to me and not as solid as the Noob oyster. When they're on the watch, the GMF watch is noticeable lighter than the Noob. I hope one day Rolex brings back the oyster braclet on the Batman so we can have the newer movement with the more versatile bracelet.

Crystal
Winner - Noob by far

I really dislike how the GMF crystal sits higher on the GMF. It screams rep. Also the GMF crystal isn't as clear as the Noob one. The Noob crystal makes the dial pop more.

The crown on the Noob is slightly bigger/thicker. It is easier to grip. Also, mine is BK so has a Sellitta movement. It's a dream to wind and set time compared to the clone movement in the GMF.


Dial
Winner - Noob

The lume application is better on the Noob. Also the lume is whiter. On the GMF the lume is a little greyish. It makes the dial look a little more dull...in addition the crystal is not as clear on GMF. The lume also glows much brighter on the Noob. Also the applied indices on the Noob are a little better in my opinion.

Datewheel/cyclops
Winner - Tie

I don't know which one is more gen. In the pics I picked a date that is a bit bolder on my datewheel. On the other hand, the GMF dates look thin to me. Maybe its a cyclops thing. Both are probably off from gen but I prefer the Noob datewheel over the GMF one.


Overall
Winner - BK Noob

The look and feel is just better overall. I enjoy wearing it more. It's nicer on wrist and feels like better watch. The GMF on it's own is a great watch but next to the Noob, it is slight inferior. The insert is better but it pretty much ends there.

It’s BK so definitely the QC is the best and it doesn’t have the Noob insert which I agree is far inferior to the GMF. That said, two things unacceptable to me for a $400 rep are the stiff, almost frozen, bezel and the crystal.




Plenty of room for ARF to take this market.

On the stiff bezel - I think you must have got a weird one. Have you tried opening it and checking? Mine is very smooth - totally normal. The crystal is a bit high, but not bad quality imo. That said, a Prof upgrade would be nice!

If you want a great xtal, cyclops and bezel action you have to mod a rep anyway.

I’m glad to see that you and GB got better ones. I recall reading others got ones with stiff bezels too. Where’d you get it for under $400? It’s $428 on puretime and I got it for $400 via M2M.

I don't think there is a lot of consistency between the feel of bezels on reps. Compared with the real one they all suck.

I don't really want to swamp my TD with bargain hunters, needless to say that I have a good relationship with him and PT are not the cheapest.

When I told them to cancel my order, they told me they only want to refund 90% of the price and then send me these pictures of the watch, it feels like a "cover up for the delay time"...... First the told me I got 48 hours and then 24 hours to accept the offer.

What a service...

First of all; I find that the 18 transtransition is an instant tell.

Look at the clasp. Scratches on a brand new watch?? I mean wtf?
Overexposed pictures.. Cant really see details? First picture inside box isn't even the same watch..

Anything else you guys can spot that I didn't. And what about the service? Is this allaround service from PT or what to except?

Transition between 18? I see what you mean - normally it cuts through the number. it wouldnt bother me much - they must all be like that on this batch. I noticed the lettering on the rehaut is not aligned, which is concerning as mine is - i thought they fixed that...

Well I was told getting QC picture within 7 days. After 9 days wihtout hearing anything from them, I wanted to cancel my order because of the delay. Then I was told that they could give me back 90% of the order and then I was sent these pictures.. Do you see any other flaws on the watch?

No, the watch looks pretty good. And QC pics aren't for posting and asking people for flaws.

You waited a whopping 9 days? Instead of 7. So you cancelled the order... Maybe this isn't the hobby for you...

It didn't occur that maybe the factories didn't have a watch in stock and PT had to wait, that there have been raids taking place and TD's have to be extra careful, and so on...
