Received my GMT GMF yesterday, will get pics today - the date didn’t move forward this morning, could just be how it’s set, while I’m taking pics can anyone point me to a good guide on setting the GMT a2836 movement?

Crown has 3 positions

1 winding
2 forward quickset date, backward set GMT hand
3 backward time setting, best not to set reverse time around midnight.

Maybe your watch was set 12 hours off

Visited goldsmiths today in UK on an appointment with intent on purchasing a GEN BLNR. Sales rep me invited me to the “rolex room” then systematically dressed me down about how exclusive it is to own a rolex, “this isnt a normal watch” was one phrase, she then told me unless i had previously purchased an array of watches from them i would not have a chance of getting the call for one from them, a hulk or the latest pepsi GMT. She did offer me a sub in stock or 41mm fluted DJ which was nice of her.... i declined.

One thing that stumped me was the dealerships now hold onto warranty cards for 12 months with all new rolex purchases due to resellers. I think thats a great idea! The search continues!!

I am going to purchase a GM this weekend to tide me over - these look the best i have seen, if only they could get that insert lettering deep and wide enough!! Will post QCs once accepted

Gmf insert numbers looks wider when looking at them from slight angle. yes they are slightly thinner which is noticeable on pics but in real life on the wrist Krystal are not that different. I could live with that.

GMF version is pretty much the best Batman we have at this time. It's so freaking close.
Pepsi is awesome too.

I’m extraordinarily sceptical of these ‘comparisons’.
is the MK2 BLNR even out yet? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Yes definitely, i tried with an LN and it was sweet until i stood it next to a legit one and it was night and day. If you could get a BLNR insert in one of these GM models with a gen xtal and DW you would not tell the difference i dont think on the wrist. Last BLNR insert i saw went for over £2500 if I remember. Insane

It’s out already, ADs in the UK/USA started officially selling them May 1st. It’s possible China got them even earlier. This is not an entirely new model, just a refresh so it seemed to have hit ADs much sooner than other baselworld releases

Any trusted dealers can get it. Have a look at Trusted Dealer section of this forum and take your pick. I find Puretime to offer a good experience, but to be honest they all do generally.

Possibly, maybe. Just seems too tight a timeframe to turn this around. I’m more inclined to call bs on one being genuine even if they weren’t exactly starting from scratch. Those images exist for no other reason than to market the replica, and we’ve seen in the AP thread they often juxtapose 2 replicas instead of having a gen.

My guess is the watch head is the original BLNR and they're using a jubilee from a Pepsi

You guys underestimate those rep factories. They can get freshly released gens faster than anyone.

Except that the SWISS MADE on the 126710 is different than the one on the 116710, and on the pic it's the 126710 type. So of it's indeed a gen, then it's a gen 126710

It’s 100% gen. I’ll try to get high res pics.
