Genuine Rolex DSSD box vs Puretime Box (Loads of images and details)

TBH most people don't buy boxes, some are dead against the idea. For most of those here who do it's having a home for a favorite piece, a photo prop or part of their display.
*someone find one of the threads with a nice display set up in for the gentleman please*

There have been threads here where a new face has enquired about warranty cards with the correct number on it. The membership inevitably tears these guys a new one.
I know some of our members who have paid out for correct cards with matching numbers but in the case of these established members it's just the final act to the obsession with perfection rather than nefarious intent. TBH none of the rep Rolex boxen are that great anyway.

In some cases it's because the box itself is a work of art. I have a UN box (the only one I have) that is just beautiful. I have NFI how gen like it is but the timber work is top notch and I like it for itself rather than any resemblance it may or may not have to the gen.

I just went through my box my watch is 2 weeks old and was only at the AD for 3 days so I know it is current. The box no longer comes with the leather wallet (Kind of bummed) it no longer comes with the calendar card. It does have a small rectangle plastic tag that says Rolex on one side and the model # on the other. I has a card board holder the size of a deck of cards for the booklets and has far as the hologram the on the Replica is the current hologram used on the DSSD I will post some pics for you guys.

I'm just sayin' .....

I do not want to sound rude I am just wondering. Why would you want a Replica Rolex box? I understand the Replica watch because you like the style. But why the box the only reason I can see is if you are trying to pass your Replica off as real and I did not think people did that. I never take my Gen DSSD off so it is never stored the box is actually sitting in the trunk of my car I took the card out and put it in my wallet but I never went through the box I did not know it came with a wallet I am going to have to go see after I type this.

With replica boxes I could see people try to pass off Replicas as real and scam people so I don't think it is a good idea. What is the reason that you like the box so much? This is just a question I am not looking to put anyone who likes them down. I am off to look for my wallet now

Different strokes for different folks .. If someone wants to purchase a Rolex box for their Rolex replica to complete the replica set, what is the harm? As long as the watch and box set is not used to "swindle" anyone in a sale, I see no problem. We all know that that is not always the case (just read the Ebay threads on our forum), so.... if you want to buy a pre-owned luxury timepiece, BUYER BEWARE ... check it out thoroughly .... it's YOUR hard earned money at stake! ... BTW, great review!

I have to admit to having boxes now for most of the watches I wish to keep...some people buy replica boxes because gen boxes are so high and it is hard to source manuals and such.

What motivated me was the box does make a great photo prop as Trailboss99 mentioned, and it also adds some street cred to the owner. It’s a prop; it just adds credibility helping the watch to "look" the part. I don’t disclose that some of my watches are replicas, unless asked directly. It is all about presentation in my view. Many of us spend a lot of money and time improving the details, and to me the home for the watch is but one of the details that makes the package complete.

Many people who buy a genuine watch used will acquire it without the box and or papers. Some of them want the box to "complete the ensemble" if you will. Nothing wrong with from where I sit either.

Thanks for the info - it helped alot when I went to pick up my gen box today....I was afraid I was going to get scamm'd, but it turned out it was truly a gen boxset. Regardless, thanks for the great detail/pictures!

Aoboboy has two different types of rolex boxes (4, actually, but only 2 feel like they're the type - these are the more expensive ones). Which ones would you guy suggest that I buy for my upcoming BK Ceramic Sub? Thought this would be a good place to differentiate the two since you guys are already comparing rep boxes. Thanks

Many of the dealers have Rep boxes, but they do not have the correct booklets.
