Well, that's because a 116613 crystal is not a 126610 crystal lol

A 116xxx xrystal goes for around 300-350 euros, 100 less than a 126xxx, but still a lot, in proportion to the cost of the rep

As I say, to get rid of the horrible distortion on the cyclops, that looks like spiders legs from certain angles, many would say it’s worth it.
Your happy with yours as it is. Many aren’t.
Different strokes for different folks, that’s what makes the world go round.

Nearer than you think

Never said I was happy with it, I was just wondering about the worth of it. It definitely makes a difference, but is that difference worth more than the price of your rep lol? For some is for others isn't i guess.

I have a rep with gen crystal as well, and others without, I even posted some threads about crystals and gen comparisons if you wanna check them out!

Like most people here say, if you love the piece and plan on keeping it, go gen, it'll look and make you feel better.

The price is high. Almost the cost of a quality rep. But if you factor in how much the prices of the gen pieces have risen, it really isn't that bad.

After much research, mainly thanks to user photos, I decided to go with a gen crystal with a gen date wheel. That along with a gen pair of hands are pretty much all I will ever find... if a gen dial ever comes up it will be ridiculously overpriced.

You can upgrade to a Clarks or aftermarket swiss crystal for a fraction of the price. They are a step above rep crystals and are closer if not almost indistinguishable from gen, as they are made to be replacements. The VSF distortion on the cyclops is an easy tell to me, i would look elsewhere. I have a stock ARF crystal on my 16610 which has no such distortion and a good black hole effect, and doesnt necessitate replacing in my opinion.
