I've just placed an order for

IWC0503 - Pilot Chrono IW389101 Top Gun CER/LE Black AZF A7750
$388+$40-5%

GeekTime had quicker responses and was much easier to deal with than TDs

I'll update when I get QC

Just wanted to write a quick review of Eric from Geektime after having bought 10+ watches from him over the past 3 years or so.
  1. Product availability - 10/10. He has access to virtually all T1 reps that exist on the market, even if they are not listed on his website he can source them for you. Same goes for parts.
  2. Communication - 10/10 always via whatsapp always very responsive.
  3. Payment options - 10/10 - always smooth.
  4. QC - Always good quality images and videos, never any problems with RL. Eric can take some additional QC pictures for you if you request them.
  5. Shipping - Very quick, always a tracking number provided, never had any customs issues.

Honestly - I used to buy via puretime before, but the transaction experience with Eric is just so much better and so much more personal (he can even give you recommendations), rather than the rotating roaster of customer care people at other dealers.

IMO Eric should be put on a TD list or at least at the 'probationary TD' list should one exist.
I just made my first order with Geektime. I have only red good things so far.

I am new, so I am sure there will be plenty of people who automatically assume I am a scammer or an idiot, or both. I may be an idiot but I am not a scammer. I just wanted to add my two cents that I appreciate reading about people's experience with non-TD's. I recently made my first purchase and did so after reaching out to five different TD's. I decided to go with Lucy based simply on the fact that she responded quickly and was able to source what I wanted. I have read good things about geektime on reddit. It seems to be that the RWI folk look down on the reddit folk for some reason, but as a new person I am happy to look at both sources to try and improve my understanding.

I do. If you're only crusading for TDs, how about you go to that section of the forum and allow people to share their experiences of non-TDs which is what this part of the forum is for?
What a super welcoming forum
The issue is , New people come here, order from non td or shill websites and get scammed, or don’t get what they ordered. They could have spent a whole 20 min reading here and avoided it. As far as the non td section - we have good non td- that are td on other sites- Reddit , rwg like Josh at perfect clones or Eric at geektime- it’s just here with a td if there’s an issue, we can fix it. But if your on Reddit or rwg they would be able to address the issue

Lucy is great- she has got me 2 watches that were near impossible to source- she’s like a 1 man operation no pun and takes a while - sometimes a few months. I don’t recommend her to anyone new

Idk if this is the right place to share my experience. Idk if the guy is Eric, Lucy or whatever, I texted with somebody on their whatsapp. They claim to have shipped 2 watches to Bulgaria on 22 april, promised to send a tracking number but never did. After asking several times Geektime sends me a screenshot from supposed shipping company stating that watches arrived in Germany on 4 may*. Today is 3 june and there has been no trace of any watches whatsoever. The guy from Geektime just keeps saying that when he receives feedback from shipping company he would provide information but never does.

* From Germany to Bulgaria it takes like 1-2 days.

P.S. The funniest point is that before taking your money they reply momentarily as if they exploit a bot of some sort. However once they take the money it takes them days to send back a simple meaningless sentence.

I've contacted 2 different TD's here from this forum and neither of them ever got back to me. Well, one guy none of his contact information on the website even worked. All bounced back with invalid addresses. The other one, just never contacted me back at all. I don't like going back and fourth through emails. I much prefer to deal through whatsapp as it's fluid and I get answers to my questions almost immediately. I can send pictures of exactly what I'm looking for and I get a reply right away. After dealing with a few flaky no name dealers from random ads, I decided to give Eric a try. He has been very helpful and replies to me within a couple min each time through whatsapp. He's brutally honest with his stuff and never bigs anything up. If it has flaws he makes sure you understand what those flaws are instead of just telling you things are the best quality. Will update once my order ships. I just sent my $50 deposit for the QC pics. I paid through Remitly and the fees and transfer times are very reasonable. I don't like not using Paypal since I just went through a dispute not too long ago with another dealer who scammed me. I got all my money back through paypal.

It might be safer to use TD's, but IMO if you're not even going to bother to reply to my emails or you don't even have the correct contact information on your website, that doesn't give me much faith in wanting to do business with you. I can always give my money to someone else who's more willing to provide proper service.
