My latest « sculpture » if that makes you feel loved 😅
It’s supposed to be a 14060
Did you use files to reshape the top of the lugs @Karbon74 or dremel it? Profile looks much better than the stock Ali. I’m on the fence about doing the same since I just need to polish the case and assemble to finish my 14060 build.

A vintage watch dealer here in the UK told me that there was a time (I think in the late 1980s or early 1990s?) when the remaining stock of Milsubs that were never issued to divers were being sold off from the Royal Navy stores as military surplus. He said his father was offered a whole little box of them! But apparently people weren't especially interested in them at that time because they had the "wrong" hands and bezel.
🤪
(Of course hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I guess a dealer who took 5 or 10 of these in pristine condition and just kept them in his safe would have had a nice little retirement fund 20 or 25 years later...)"

I wonder if that dealer started selling them off yet?

For the foam tool he's using, search for "pointed tip swabs." There are many types so you might need to look around to find the best for a watch dial. Now I want to buy some too. Thanks for pointing these out.

That's absolutely mad! The comments on his instagram were 'interesting' after he built it, with people calling him out for it being a REP, effectively.

So, looking on the 'gram - this isn't his REP one he built, it is someone else's, supposedly started off GEN...
