How can someone swap the 8500 clone movement for an SW200? I heard someone has done it but i don't understand how since it doesn't seem to be a direct swap, I'm intrested in buying a VSF seamaster but I'm worried that if it breaks i won't be able to mount something like a 2824/sw200, this has kept me from getting oneDM me... I think I have a parts movement of this calibre that I can salvage this wheel from for you.
With enough effort anything is possible. But unless there’s a guide on how to do this swap with the author confirming it’s easy and doesn’t require a lathe or 3D printer, I’d assume it requires both. How can someone swap the 8500 clone movement for an SW200? I had heard that this was needed for the ceramic dial models since it’s thicker than normal, could one take the hour hand and cannon pinion from the a8900 and transfer it to the 2824? Are those parts not interchangeable?I seem to recall that when I serviced my A8900 I measured the height of the canon pinion and it was taller than all of the various sizes offered by ETA. If I'm remembering correctly and that is the case, if you were somehow able to get a 2824/SW200 to fit properly in the case, I think you would then run into the problem of not having enough clearance with the dial to mount the hands.
Sounds like its magnetized bro. Just get a demagnetizer and see if it resolves your issues.Did anyone service his Clone VSF Seamaster 8500 in the US?
Mine started losing 5 minutes a day, only 6 months old and I'm not wearing it all the time.
Thanks
Thanks, but a magnetized watch should not run faster instead than slower?Sounds like its magnetized bro. Just get a demagnetizer and see if it resolves your issues.
not necessarily it depends on the part that is magnetized....Thanks, but a magnetized watch should not run faster instead than slower?
However I already tried it, and it's not magnetized unfortunatelyThanks, but a magnetized watch should not run faster instead than slower?
Sorry I missed your answer. I did test it and it's not magnetizednot necessarily it depends on the part that is magnetized....
Sorry mate, but I'll be honest here. That watch is toast. Give it a lesson learn, sell it off for parts (message some of the watch makers and offer to sell the broken watch to them, you'll probably get $150 for it) and buy a new one.Hello everyone, I have read the entire post carefully and I am particularly interested in knowing if it would be possible to obtain a complete bridge with a hairspring and balance wheel for an 8906 Planet Ocean GMT. Due to my clumsiness I broke the hairspring and the watch has only been with me for 4 months. I would greatly appreciate your help, and please excuse me for using Google Translate.
Another thing is you can ask TDs if they can help you but honestly i think these VSF propietary movments aren't freely sold. Just contact all of them to see if they can source one for you. Good luck my friend. Thanks for your reply. I'm pretty new to this stuff but I hope I can learn from what happened.
