I can hardly tell the difference between all three.
In my opinion, factory plating should be better as it is done using proper industrial equipment.... not some DIY using AAA battery.
I shared the video link of the process in one of the recent comments.

Why not? Even if it is done with proper equipment/process and not a bathtub?
Because it is not physically possible to plate that thickly and achieve a decent finish. Anything above 3 microns is considered heavy plate, 6 is about as heavy as is realistic. 3 micron plate will get several years of daily wear before it gets thin if done correctly.

You are being conned by some clown from China who is laughing about stupid Westerners all the way to the bank and so he should if you seriously believe that.

I have researched otherwise.

You have researched the wrong way, or you’re just getting scammed being happy with it.

Edit: I just seen the video, the watch looks very much like a stock GMF, I really can’t tell a difference compared to the many GMF watches I had in hand, in neither of those 3. I had experiences with some customers who dealt with those “chinese plating factories” (one even came with a “certificate” LOL) and the watches came at my place completely stock. They even left the stickers on once………

I have a stock GMF too and it looks different in the photos. More so in hand. Here is another closer look. GMF stock on the left.

The chocolate is genuine, the sundust is stock.
Plating in rose is pointless nowadays (and I used to make money on rose plating, so I’m speaking against my interest, I totally stopped rose now)

Ah I see so you don’t do rose plating anymore? Thanks for sharing.

The 30 micron seems to have a bit more density imo. But barely noticeable.

I’ve had chances to sell on RWI, I have even been inboxed about certain watches. I refused. I never even tried selling a watch in the sales

Then you have done so badly.
30 microns x2 (two surfaces mating) is 0.06 of a mm; with plating that thick you couldn't even screw a caseback or a pusher on and well made SELs wouldn't fit. Neither would bracelet components. I just called my electroplaters (who have a Royal Warrant) and he laughed at me and wanted to know why anyone would waste that much gold anyway?

Why do you people fall for this bullshit? It's as believable as some advert on Facebook offering $400 a day to "pack cosmetics at home".
