Hi everyone,

8/5/2024 - I placed my first order with Eliot on August 5th after confirming that the Whatsapp number was his (asked him to send me a PM here on RWI and he did with his TD account here). Paid via WU later that day after work and he confirmed receipt of money about an hour later. All good.

8/6/2024 - I then asked for availability of three other watches for a friend and am waiting to hear from her if she wants me to order them for her.

8/10/2024 - Asked for any updates (he previously said this watch might take a while as it's not a popular model - as much as up to 9 days from order) and he replied that VSF is "afraid to send out" after the raid and they're "a bit slow with plans next week". Told him no worries.

8/13/2024 - Asked for any updates and the availability of Omega 300M for another friend who wants it ASAP. Waiting on response.

8/13/2024 Eliot replied that the 300M is quite quick to get. Even if my friend doesn't want it for her, I will buy it for myself should this transaction go according to plan. I'll probably pick up an Explorer I as well. Really does depend on how this goes.

8/24/2024 - Another week. Was told it will be "this weekend" for QC. Fingers crossed!

Nothing this weekend. Elliot said the factories are not sending out watches but it seems other models are available easily. I was about to take the full refund when I was shown a picture of some Panerai watches he had on hand. I only liked one and I would've had to make up the difference (which is entirely fair and it was a trivial amount - about $30 US).

I was concerned that the Panerais on hand (where mine is a unicorn order?) might have been failed QCs - in my mind a legitimate concern that I voiced politely. He did NOT like that question. Fair enough.

I asked what would be easiest for him as he seemed extremely stressed in messages and I didn't want to add anymore to that stress, so I suggested we wait a little longer. However, it's approaching a full month with no QC and it's difficult seeing others order and have their watches in a week. Guess I should've picked a No Date Sub like everyone else

9/3/2024 - After talking to Eliot again and not wanting him to be out of pocket if he's already ordered this watch, I decided to wait a little longer and was told the VSF delivery would be today (his time). Just got told that it's now going to be Friday for QC.

It was gonna be Friday but now Tuesday, now next friday... maybe Monday after that? Lol

Looks like stressing for no good reason. Just put your order in and forget about it. There is nothing you can do to speed things up. Just check your email or WhatsApp or whatever you use to check for QC request.

Looks like we are both waiting for the same watch in the same timeframe, I ordered a Pam389 from Eliot on aug 6 and its been 4 weeks and know Eliot will send QC pics when it arrives. I know the VSF models are taking a bit longer, My last 2 orders from Andiot took between 4-6 weeks.
The longest ive waited for qc pics was 11 weeks from a diff TD, lol. I dont get in a rush anymore, I know it will show up sooner or later.

Yeah, I would've ordered something completely different if I had known it would be this long. I saw a post on Reddit that someone else was waiting for a VSF from him but hadn't heard anything. Not his fault if there's a factory delay as long as it's disclosed upfront.

I waited 7 weeks just for QC from Hont before, for a super common piece. You just never know. That’s why it’s best to damn near forget you even ordered it for a couple months.

Hi, i also placed an order via WU. What address did you put? I did not get an instruction in regards to what address to put and WU is requiring an address.

Not going to post it publicly here but he confirmed receipt of the money back around the third of August. You can pm me where you sent it to and I'll double check it for you.

No reply / response today. This is the first time he's never responded to me within, at most, a few hours of a single, polite message requesting the promised update.

Now I'm getting pretty worried.
