there are 4 types of strap from what i know.

1 = plain rubber
2 = vulcanized rubber strap
3 = croc strap
4 = rubber + croc strap

1) the plain rubber has very different quality between rep and gen (must buy). really soft and comfortable, not stiff.

2) the vulcanized rubber strap is the closest between rep and gen. but the gen is more elastic and it doesnt hurt your arm.

3) the croc strap quality is better on the gen

4) havent compare between gen and rep yet. but i believe the gen is slightly better quality.

the buckle on the gen is better. if you want a true comfortable watch, buy the gen strap and buckle. but thats expensive. choice is yours =)

take care

DW is good, almost same as gen.

the only main flaws are the red chrono needle is not as bright as the gen. and the back case doesnt have the writing of "titanium" and "stainless steel". rotor is a bit different but that very monor.

this rep is absolutely 95% accurate imo.

Thanks for the info regarding the strap. Considering the entire watch itself is less than 400 bucks, seems replacing the strap compared to watch price is way too expensive. On another note, after many days of wearing the watch, strap seems to have softened up considerable. And the area around the lugs seems to have stretched and curving better so will most likely continue to break strap in and just keep it. But thanks for all the info

Not sure who made this strap but I found it on m2m and as you can see it hugs the wrist a lot tighter without the gaps. Makes it very wearable. I think all the rep rubber is garbage... too rigid at the lugs, I just can't stand that big gap.

I think over time the rubber strap softens up b/c mine seems to have. Either that, or I must of gotten used to it. On another note, I'm seeing aftermarket Hublot crocodile leather straps on eBay for about $20.
