Back to the workshop :)

I recently finished Tudor small rose Ranger dial.
Matte finish and slightly curved ... and with dial feet for a 2451 movement

I also started working on a personnal project that had been waiting since years in my drawers ... build a Seiko 6116-8100 MACV-SOG.
I'll create a dedicated thread for this but here are the first steps of dial modding ...

First start with an old 6119-8020 civilian dial, mark a small dent at 3:00 and remove all markers and the steel surround on the date window ...

Take a dark grey sunburst NH35 dial and remove all dial feet as none of them fit the 6119 movement ...

Place the original 6119 dial backwards on the NH35 dial and mark where the date window must be modified ...

Rework the date window until the original steel surround can fit and add dial feet for the 6119 movement ...

Put the original steel surround in place and bingo ... we have a dark grey sunburst dial that fits on the 6119 movement !!!
A good starting point for a 6119-8100 MACV-SOG dial

The design for printing was finished years ago so I'll print it on spare time, probably August.
I'll make trials with white and silver.

Re-tapped the tube hole on a Milk 5513 case to fit the tube of a 702 crown + tube set from Athaya.
Used a 3X0.35 tap from Horotec ... can't use cheap tools for that type of work ...
