Today I finished a green Khandjar 1665 dial ...
I've never seen any of it and I wouldn't vouch it ever existed but the watch owner wanted it and I must admit that I like it

This week I also worked on a Tudor 7928 matte dial for an original Tudor 390 movement.

The goal was to achieve a gold/bronze effect and to make it matte BUT with some reflects depending on the light
Not perfect but quite nice IMHO ... next monday I'll do a creamy "tritium" lume with explanation point.

I also reprinted a new BLUE PIANO prototype dial ... trying to make the 2 shades of blue as close as possible to the original.
It's a tall order given the scarcity of pics available, but I think I'm not doing too bad

Now I guess it's time to close the workshop and go pack my bag cause I'm leaving to Paris tomorrow morning.
Wish you a nice weekend ;)

Haven't seen one of these before, but this one looks spectacular.

Have a nice weekend.

The choice to stretch the lines of the minute scale was a bold one but @manodeoro executed it wonderfully as usual (y) !!! The inspiration was dictated by the first 1680 model in gold made in 1974 for Sultan Sultan Qaboos bin Said , later sold by Phillips

Has someone from the admin/global mod team already gotten in touch with you about this issue?

No ... as of now the question has not been solved and not contact from the moderators ...
I hope I'll get news soon ... in the meantime
Me, I'm waiting so patiently
Lying on the floor
I'm just trying to do my jig-saw puzzle
Before it rains anymore

My guess is that the banner itself can and will be removed at some point in the future, perhaps just not yet.

But let me see if at least your PM permissions can be broadened to make communication easier for you... (can't promise, but I'll inquire on your behalf).

Hey bro, sorry... But for now, you’ll have to work within the current comms limitations.

The admin team genuinely appreciates your efforts to make things right, but based on the feedback I’ve received, there’s still a long road ahead to rebuild enough trust.

First dial test for a 116400 "COLETTE + MAD" build
Of course the case and bracelet will be matte sandblasted ... and caseback will be engraved

Some days ago I showed you an unfinished Seiko MACV-SOG 7005-8030 refurbishment...

Early this week I finally achieved to make the 7005A movement work and keep good time

2tFy5F.jpeg

Yesterday I lumed the dial and handset and this morning I made the final assembly.
I will wear that tiny oldie on my wrist along the weekend for a final checking ... I'll take great care of it :ROFLMAO: ... then I will ship it back to it's owner early next week.

Welcome back! I'm right there with you — been stocking up on tools and slowly diving into the watchmaking side myself. It’s definitely intimidating at first, but the more I dig in, the more addicting it gets.

Started with basic disassembly and pressure testing, now I’m eyeing a full service on a practice movement soon. You’ll know when it’s time — once the bug bites, it doesn’t let go.

Keep us posted either way.

This dial was created by @manodeoro.

Currently he is 'do not trade." but I had requested him to create it before the treatment was applied.

I have wanted a Singer prototype dial for a long time.

However, there was no parts manufacturer that made prototype dials.

When I was about to give up because I don't have the skills to make a dial, I saw a thread by @manodeoro who sells them on m2m.

I sent him a PM and consulted him.

Then his personal problems came up and the creation was halted.

Soon after he returned to RWI, he contacted me and creation resumed.

I received that dial in hand.

I think it is very good.

The matte blue Sub piano dial is amazing!

I had a very disappointing refinish on a GEN Tudor 9411 dial done... wondering if you might be interested in having a go!

I'e never made a blue (just guessing) 9411 dial but I'd be delighted to take up the challenge
Unfortunately I'll have to wait a while until the "do not trade with me" badge is removed ... I hope it won't take too long

Can you share some pics of your refinished dial?... just curious about what's wrong with it

Will DM you some pics when you get your status back and we can have a chat (y)

I can get high res photos of my GEN dials, etc. to draw a vector or whatever is needed :) The refinish I have: The 'matte' is too glossy, blue too light, printing too thick/heavy and a few detail issues but, honestly, from a metre it looks nice and tidy, it's just not close to being correct and since the original printing is gone, we're free to try again without fear of destroying an original dial :D

Don't know how long it will take to get that badge removed
In the meantime I still can make some trials on making a blue 9411 dial on an ETA plate to see how it goes 🤞
