We all know how hard it is to get the right look on our 1675s - the insert being the hardest to get right for the perfect look. I've always preached "going gen" when it comes to inserts because NOTHING existed that looked right to me when compared to gens.
The current market is that 1675 inserts can range from $300 for a service NOS pepsi (which are boring!!!) all the way up to I've seen $10k for a red backed fuchsia super mega godzilla font insert. These prices IMO to me are insane but I still paid up and got them. Hopefully they do keep value since inherently they are just little pieces of metal that cost as much as someone's salary in parts of the world.
The main makers of 1675 aftermarket inserts all have issues - I'm sure many of you would attest to that. There is also heresay that the mega fat gojira inserts were aftermarket ones from a long time ago - and no genuine inserts came out of the Rolex factory looking like that. But thats besides the point - we don't have access to those anymore in 2019.
Current makers:
1. WSO - cheap, easy to fade, but numbers are too thin and wonky
2. Clarks - cheap, easy to fade, but numbers are even worse and way too thin
3. Phong - not bad, but at $95 sort of pricey. numbers are thin and wonky
4. Yuki - not bad, not cheap nor expensive, but numbers are thin and wonky.
5. Customwatch - relative newcomer. These look amazing - I have one on my personal 1675. But they are quite pricey! tripdog did a great review on these, the texture is off and some numbers look a bit wonky especially the bottom of the 2's. Price aside, these are the best in my opinion especially since he makes each different so there is no need to fade them and mess it up yourselves!

RWI member milk051506 PM'd me and asked if I would like to take a look at his recent project of making 1675 cases and various parts. Being on here long enough I've seen many people like him start this journey and dissapear - because in my opinion it definitely is not as easy as it sounds. He sent me a caseset (which I will be reviewing later) and a couple inserts.
WOW!!!
These inserts have the best font I have ever seen on an aftermarket insert. The main things I look for:
1. Spacing of the 18
2. Bottom of the 2's - they curve around with the inner diamater
3. Shape of the 8
4. Odd number Dots location
I'll let the photos speak. I hereby name them... milky inserts!
PS - I do not know how many he has made or his intention of where to sell these - so please don't PM me asking. I'm merely putting up this honest review because IMO these are the best ones I have seen so far. I am not sure how well they fade - but will attempt and post the photos later.
