Large flaw in my opinion: the dome on the sapphire crystal (not bezel). The crystal is cut off with a straight edge, while on the gen, the crystal is domed. Very noticeable if you know what you're looking for. This is the same issue as the Black Bay.
Agreed. And in the FF the difference in crystal finish could be even more noticeable than w/ the BB due to the lack of continuity from the graceful curve of the FF bezel. However, it's all just speculation until our watches arrive and we can see for ourselves.

It looks like that bastard has several fathers... the poor thing's going to have an identity crisis when it grows up. Still, it's a sharp looking watch - and nice photo.
By the way, as you might already know - Puretime started preorders on FF ! Hope that soon will get mine
Collected from the post office just now. Couldn't even wait to get home and I opened the package in the car. The watch is beautiful and the wait was definitely worth it. Comparing to my recent reps (i.e. LW wobbly crown, loose bezel on BB and 382), the quality of the fifty fathoms is miles better. The inner lug is not razor sharp!! I'm just waiting to purchase the 0.9mm hex tool so I can change to a new croc grain strap. Bad news for those with large wrists, the strap is short.
Note to everyone, upon unpacking, please check that the screws are not loose. 1 screw dropped out during transit and I did not notice it (It was dark inside the car, and luckily I did not throw away the plastic packaging immediately) till the lug bar protruded out half way. I would go nuts if the watch was smashed only after 1 hour of wrist time.

I can't wait to get mine, very good to see folks starting to get theirs. What I like better is hearing what Lazzare said about the quality and the comparison to the other reps. He's been here since 2009 and has seen some reps, I trust him.

I'm able to make comparison on the quality as I bought most of the popular recent releases. This is the quality I expect for the price I paid. With the other watches, I had some disappointment, but none so far with the FF. My only concern so far is the lug screws. I'm waiting for my hex key to arrive so I can tighten them properly.

I like the gator look as well. Very nice way to dress it up a bit.
What are your initial impressions of the crystal? Is the "hard edge" as noticeable in person as it can appear in photos? I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts once they get theirs (and of course the rep/gen comparisons when they're available).

I am also curious about this. The pictures that were posted earlier actually looked like a pretty smooth edge.
