So this is almost a perfect rep, just a small f###ing spacing "issue" which to 99.99% is not noticeable and yet some of you guys wait for a newer version of this.

Funny that the same people will say they buy reps for fun and not to pass them as gen. Lol of course you don't.

Poor TDs, can't even imagine what kind of people they have to deal with when sending QC pictures.

Feedback like this over the spacing is whats making factorys and TDs better! And we get even better Reps later.
They should get credit for doing a superb job (cus they do!!), but also acept the feedback they get.
Its normal in the rest of the world and it is whats going to make you better.

Hi at all :)
I'm considering purchasing the EXPLORER I 214270 JF v2 model sold by intime01
What I wonder is what is the resistance of the rolex symbol on the bracelet:
this is exactly where you need to force to open the closure.
Do you know if it is fragile and it breaks off after some time?
Is glass declared as a sapphire really scratch resistant?
Thanks to all of you !

thought I read in one of the hundreds of pages recently (hahaha) that the reason the " E X " font spacing is off is because of an earlier 214270 dial rolex releasee. Noticed this sale thread in another forum. Look at the E X PLORER spacing. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=563872 or my eyes playing tricks on me now with every Explorer 1 dial I look at now.

That is an earlier Explorer dial - the silver numbers (without lume) are the most obvious difference.

Yes, I know it is. I stated that it was the earlier release dial in my comment. Did you open the link? Look at the word " E X PLORER " its just like the JF version. Maybe this is the reason they got it wrong......

Compare this new release model text of "EXPLORER" compared to the older one " E X PLORER"

Yes this is the 'common thought' that effectively JF have created a 'fantasy' dial, as the numbers and EXP don't match. I actually bought the JF and don't really personally have an issue with the spacing on the wrist, I consider it pretty minor for me. I have also seen this Rolex link too, with the same EXP spacing, although I've never seen an actual Explorer with the lumed numbers and EXP spacing like that in real - so I'm not sure if Rolex themselves have just used this particular dial combination for original marketing shots.

For anyone who is on the fence, you will absolutely love the JF. Here’s mine received today from M2M.

hi guys, I’m seeing the same EXPLORER print as JF on rolex website of the same model (not 2015). Or is my eyes playing trick on me?

https://m.rolex.com/watches/explorer/m214270-0003.html
is not your eyes, is the same.
But stepping into any AD, all the 214270 has the different print.

In fact it could be considered "as per gen" but in the fact no one had seen this version in the real life :) .

Maybe in the brochure they put an earlier version of the watch. :)

The best Explorer version is the jf v2 with sa3132 movement, am I right?

For me, this one. Movement, case, dial, bracelet etc, is so close that I wouldn’t really gain anything by having the gen on my wrist.
The movement is reliable, works & looks the same as gen, but get it serviced if your budget allows.

The fact that the biggest ‘tell’ is the tiny extra space between E & X just shows me how great the watch is right out of the box. And in the real world, that’s never gonna be an issue. And even if it was, it’ll take a gen dial.

Most of them, just find a TD that suits you, based on reviews or gut feeling. Doesn’t matter which, they’re all trusted. Price may vary slightly (someone has to pay for the slick websites...), and some seem a little better for EU or US etc.

Guys, are you still debating about the explorer font? 1st It's non-issue, seriously. I have rep ocd complex^2 and couldn't care less about this. 2nd The watch has far more obvious flaws than this, so why even bother? 3rd How does it help discussing this over pages and threads and months and years? :D 4th This watch is SOLID and beautiful, so buy it and wear it with pride!
