Explorer I -124270 Gen & Clean Comprehensive Comparison

Mine has arrived.
First impression is fantastic.

Movement feels very good too with winding or setting time.
The way the crown screws in feels nice.
Powerful impressive lume.
Rehaut alignment is good except maybe not 100% for the letter O but that’s only to find something to mention.
Bracelet without sharp edges and the screws to remove the links are not too much tightened, you don’t have to damage them.

It’s running quite fast. Already +4s on 7 hours.
My other watch needs days for that.

Not difficult to regulate i don't think. I've done Seikos - slipped with the screwdriver once and wrecked the balance, lesson learned! Never had to touch my reps, guess yours got a whack in shipping

It is good…
I’ve noticed one very little tiny thing, some micro scratches on the crystal but they’re very very superficial.
Those were there when I received it but I assumed it must have been some dirt because my previous never had anything similar even in hard conditions.

The +7s/day are not such a big problem as I thought at first.

The looks are much more pure and subtile compared to my blue jubilee datejust.
There’s less show but that doesn’t make it less pretty, it’s the opposite way in fact. Exactly as I was hoping.
There is a unity between the bracelet and the watch, the brushed inox steel is really nice to watch every day again.

I didn’t want the bezel, date wheel or cyclops anymore because they’re not perfect and it is better not to have them on a replica I feel now, although I would prefer them on a real one.
The Explorer is really a good rep to go for.

Can't wait for mine, it's arrived in EU today so hopefully next week. Really looks so much more in proportion than my BP with the 19mm lugs, thanks for the pics.
Any sharp edges on the bracelet or lugs? I usually have to run a diamond file over reps, I have a ZF that arrived with knife edges on the tips of the lugs.

The CF Explorer just feels comfortable and as it should be as mrsullivan says.

Yesterday I’ve added an extra link and have put the clasp on the smallest springbar setting and now I found the perfect fit.

often the sharp lugs don't matter until you put it on a Nato and suddenly they're exposed. My ZF BB58 scratched my kid's arm when we were playfighting lol

seems odd. both the VR3230/VR3132 are just riffs on the VR3130 right? most of the time they seem to be decent OOB but maybe there's something with the batch of movements CF is putting in these.

Not worth it imo.
Price is definitely high for xtal change.
