Explorer 42mm from Jimmy

Finally, after the Christmas season delays with EMS, the ExpII arrived. I got a big surprise when I saw that the datemag has some AR on it, this is the first time I got a rep Rolex that has AR on the datemag, pretty cool stuff!

Another observation, this watch is BIG. It looks awkward in my small wrist, whereas the 44m PAMs looks ok on me. Maybe I should take a side-by-side photo of this watch with a PAM111.

WOW...looks really, good but it does look big...I wonder how it'll look like on my small 6.5 in wrist...

It really is big, here's the side-by-side photo with a PAM367 (44mm).

This is a photo of a gen I tried on at the AD. The bezel still had the protective plastic on, which is why there's the strange bump at the 12 o'clock location on the bezel. For reference, I have 6.75" wrists.

the thing is...most reps are pretty accurate. i can deal with the pearl being slightly off, or the market surrounds being larger than gen. The hands on the exp 2 are so dramatic, having them off so much makes the rep look 100% fake. IMO the new hands on the explorer are what really makes the watch so interesting.

I have to agree with you, blue rocket.

The big hands on the Gen make it really look interesting.

Do you guys know anything if we can get a updated version (with the big hands) anytime soon?

wow that looks good, but those pictures make the dial off color.. (probably just the white balance) anyhow would be nice if they offered it with the 2836 without that fake rolex decoration...

I agree. But if they offer the black version of this particular example, I do believe I'm going to have to give it a go. I really like that lume too.
