This evaluation is only for replicas PAM 411-420 from "H maker"

Hi PAM fans

It is time to start the PENDING Evaluations in the PAM REVIEW-GUIDE, in order to get a definitive Evaluation of some new PAM replicas.
We will start with the PAM 411-420 Boutiques Special Editions from H maker. Currently it is considered as a First Class rep Pending of definitive evaluation.
"Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE" - Replica Search, Identification, Evaluation & Selection
Since only the caseback changes we will make an Evaluation valid for all the series of Boutiques.

I have put a POLL to get a voted decision from all members who want to contribute in this Evaluation.
This Poll will be closed in a month. And if we have a reasonable quantity of votes and a sound and valid result we will consider it as a new Evaluation. If that doesnâ€™t occur I will close the new evaluation and will start another in the future when we will be able to have better information.
The Evaluation and the link to this thread of the Evaluation will be included in the PAM REVIEW-GUIDE, to can be consulted for all interested members. Therefore, it would be interesting to have no only your vote but a post with the comments which you consider could be valid for all people.

Please don't upgrade the rep because you have get it recently, but because you consider sincerely that it deserves to be upgraded !!! LOL

EVALUATION: (*) FIRST CLASS REP (H maker and DSN) (possible upgrading H maker to Super rep)
Panerai introduced in 2010 M-series the PAM 411 to 420, a line of watches Luminor Marina type in Special Editions for some Boutiques Panerai around the world.
The PAMâ€™s 411 to 420 are Luminor Marina watches of 44mm SS full polished case, Black Sausage dial, vintage patina Luminova, seconds @9 sub-dial, Solid engraved caseback and the â€œFrogman & Pig SLCâ€ logo hot engraved in the dial.
The only variation of these watches was the engraved caseback which was different for each Boutique, following some typical view of the city where the Boutique is placed, which is moreover the name of the watch.
These watches are very similar to PAM 367 Dedicated to China but this watch doesnâ€™t have the â€œFrogman-Pigâ€ logo engraved.
They are also very similar to a PAM 001 Pre-A or A/B-series but with Luminova instead of Tritium dial and with the â€œFrogman-Pigâ€ logo engraved.
The reps of these watches are made from H maker y DSN. DSN reps have very marked the contour of the markers in the sausage dial, as usually in DSN, the H maker dial looks better.
The leather strap in H maker seems also better, because the strap in DSN doesnâ€™t seem close to the gen.
We can consider the DSN a First Class rep (better changing the strap) and the H maker another First Class rep more close to the gen, and maybe will be upgraded to Super rep after future evaluations.
See below the different engraving in casebacks and the number and name of every watch of this line Boutique Special Edition M-series.

i'd vote for the H factory models to be upgraded to super rep stats.. but not DSN..here's y:-

1) lume colour, boldness, torpedo(miale/pig) & shape are all off for DSN's but H factory on the other hand, has hit this pretty spot on, mayb the fonts could be a tad thicker but thats about it, imo.

2) caseback isnt as well engraved as h factory. i cant say yet but frm looks, the H is about 90% close to e gen in terms of the caseback engraving(crispness, depth&stuff like tt)

3) strap on the DSN is just horrendous, not like it really matters for pam enthusiast(u shld have more then 1strap per pam:lol

, but for the single pam buyer, e asso on e H fact does away with the fact that u dont have to source for another strap just to wear it out.

just my 2cents worth.

H fac is superrep IMO. Caseback is solid aswell as the lume. I'd say 88% close to gen....

Really it is clear we are talking about H maker models. The DSN is already evaluated in the GUIDE
Anyway, I think that your comments are a little exaggerated IMHO.

As commented in other thread the Munichand the Singapore are not yet copied at this moment.
And they are N-series. To be purist, you cannot placed them with the M-series.
When the Miunich or Singapore arecopied I will put in the GUIDE the Data Table for Boutiques N-series.

I think what will be the main point of comparison with the gen won't be with the dial, case, nor CG, since the factories have had a lot of experience with replicating those. It will be with the caseback engravings, since previously only text and special caseback designs were done for PAM reps.

To compare with what chromed posted, on the right is the gen caseback for the PAM423 Singapore Boutique Edition.

If you can see, the difference is apparent, the first of which is the placement of the text. The text on the rep is on the same flat surface as the engraving, whereas on the gen it is in the sloping edge of the caseback. This would explain the tight spacing of the text on the rep caseback as well as the relatively smaller engraving. Just the engraving itself shows visible differences such as the straightness of the lines for the buildings and even the lines of the waves are not the same. Here are the two images overlaid on top of one another. I tried to line them up as accurately as possible but what I described above is pretty apparent.

Hopefully, the one that chromed showed is just that, a prototype and the factory will try and replicate the caseback better. Now I don't know if that is what will keep this rep from becoming a super-rep. The side that the world sees certainly is super-rep class. The side that it doesn't sadly does not keep up with the expectation.

Edit:

Just checked threads on the PAM416 rep, and they indicate that at least the placement of the text is correct on the models that have been released.

Yeah, since it's relatively new, I would not expect a lot of owners. But at the very least, those who have it, their inputs would be most welcome. My perspective does not come from an owner's point of view only from what I have gotten from what has been posted, either here or in the internet.

OK ALE, I have the 416 Beverly Hills from Toro Bravo.
My comments:
Caseback is very nicely done and crisply etched.
The dial is remarkable, the frogmen SLC logo is just right and pops out at you from certain angles.
The vintage look lum is very nice.

I have attached a few pictures if you don't mind, so that people can see it in real life.
