Hi everyone, I'm new here, and the only reason I made an account is to leave this review; maybe it will help others in the future save some money.
Back in February I bought a watch from TheOneWatches.io and sent the payment through PayPal. (I was told that I can only do the Friends and Family PayPal payment).
I also paid for the most expensive shipping option which was $60.
About 3 weeks after the payment was made and the order was placed I got an email with a tracking number and a picture of the watch and shipping label.
Another 3 weeks after that (today) the box showed up with DHL. It was pretty obvious that the box was empty when the DHL guy delivered it...and I did take a couple of pictures before opening it.
I contacted the website and supposedly it is my fault because I didn't open the package when dhl delivered it to check the contents. Regardless, I paid for the watch and didn't get anything. So this is a warning for anyone that considers buying something from this website

Very Possible
If you knew the package was empty you should have filmed it before opening it up.

Steve is not a scammer, and no offense, he has hundreds of postive reviews. He is not going to scam you for a measley $300 profit on a watch to risk.

You also joined recently and after the purchase date so you won't have help from the forum.

I'm sorry this happened to you.

I suggest trying out SEAD from Supermirrors or ANIDIOT watches who has UK stock of replica watches.

Good luck.

I'm sure Steve will make this right. I would be on whatsapp with him

so, even though it appears to be a theft while it is in transit, you choose to create and account here specifically to try and roast Steve for something that is out of his control? You understand you used a triagulated shipping through the UK to the EU, so there were multiple companies and parties in possession of the package? I am of course sorry your watch was stolen, I don't wish such things on anyone, but did you ask Steve if there was anything he could do or offer to help you? There is no warning you are offering with this as of now beyond the obvious, if the package appears to have been tampered with, don't accept it or at minimum open in the presence of the DHL courier?

Even if I would have filmed opening the box it wouldn't make a difference. I'm really not trying to get any help from the forum. I know that money is gone; I can live without the $300.
However, if I would have seen a similar thread back when I ordered I would have thought twice about it. I'm hoping to help someone in the future. It is what it is.

Talk to Steve on whatsapp. See what he says. This isn't the first time something like this has happened and it won't be the last

I always film every package I order opening up. Everything. Not even just replica watches, every single package I order I film opening. Amazon. Nike. Whatever it is. Especially packages from China.

Why? Because it protects myself. If I order a legit item and don't get what I ordered, it's much easier to file a claim with the seller or my bank when I have video proof.

Where I live, I know my mail man, so he's pretty safe. But in my city there's been a huge influx of "shoe" thieves from the post office. Post office workers know what a shoe box looks like. So they'll cut it open very carefully, steal the shoes, and then tape it back up.

It does make a difference. I think Steve would be more willing to send a second one and/or you'd have some claim for a partial refund

Sure, it may not be his fault, who knows where in the 3 weeks of transit the contents were stolen.
Of course I made an account, so I can make others aware of what can potentially happen when purchasing something like this and there is really no way of getting the money back or the product.
What would you do if you would buy something and get nothing? You would obviously be a bit upset.

Of course I would be upset. What I would not be doing is placing 100% of the blame on the dealer. What you could do to confirm what we pretty much know happened is weigh the box with the two pieces of styrofoam and compare it to the weight on the label. Assuming there is a significant difference which I expect there will be then you know 100% that it was stolen in transit.

What I am most interested in is how this will be handled by the dealer, considering it's something that was out of their control.

Seasoned dealers have had to deal with this problem I'm sure more than once. Be confident that they have a strategy to resolve it

For now they asked me to make a complaint with DHL, which I did.
I'll update this thread with any updates.

It seems that empty package/theft happens a lot in the last time in Germany. Its a bit concerning...
This is the 2nd package I received empty in 2024, but the first time ever it happened with DHL.

As a relatively new member here myself, reading all the information linked and written by the more experienced members that is given to a new member when they sign up, outlines the pitfalls that can happen in this hobby.

You didn’t come here to make “others aware of what can potentially happen.” We already knew . You came here to assuage your bad luck and to throw a dealer under the bus.

It is common practice to video the unboxing of anything you purchase online in southeast asia, I also heard that taobao also urge buyer to do this.
The video prove your case, can be used by the seller to make claim to the shipping company.

So yes it makes a difference.
Also never accept openned package unless it is marked with customs special tape.

And since you are here to only send this PSA, goodbye & all the best for you.

Surprise - this isn't the first time this dealer has had parcels opened and the contents stolen, it has happened before with triangle shipping through Germany.

It was pretty obvious that the box was empty when the DHL guy delivered it...and I did take a couple of pictures before opening it.

You should have either opened the parcel in front of the driver or refused delivery. If can see (as in your pics) that the parcel has been tampered with do not accept it.

It's not the first time this has happened with this dealer, and until he changes the way he packs and ships then it won't be the last . Courier employees know what is in these parcels that all look the same - same size, same packaging, same labels, same weight etc.

The customer can't do anything about it other than use a different TD, or wait till this TD deals with the problem correctly and finds a solution.
