Maybe I asked it wrong but now knowing what you know do you think that most Rolex Watches you see are Replicas now.

BMW,
Yes... and no. All the things listed in his Noobfactory DSSD post are pretty much what he does for that price. He does grease the seals but he suggests you have the watch pressure tested afterwards. Pearl mod is another $30.
However, the watch is still what it is, a replica watch mass produced in a particular "factory" in China. All the inconsistencies found in that specific product remain aside from BK's enhancements. Your still going to find dings and scratches; stuff you will have to fix on your own. If he strove to make true 1:1 watches, he couldn't keep any to sell and/or he would charge considerably more for all the work that would entail. For what he actually does, his watches are excellent and a real value.
You also have to consider that all the accolades and renown drive up the expectation for new people like you and me. when you step up to this level of rep you might find it more difficult to accept the "reality". All this is from my personal experience and, thankfully, BK is very easy to work with. I hope I have learned my "noob" lesson.![]()
I was searching on a Gen site today to see what they were saying about the release of the DSSD and I found a post from June 10. A member asked why he could not find the serial number on his DSSD. Another member asked him if the Release Valve wording was etched or not and he said etched. The guy asking the question knew what he was talking about, the tread ended up ending and know one told the guy he bought a Replica. A top end Replica I bet would fool 60% of Gen owners.

I'd put it at around 90%.
How can you tell if a watch is fake ? You can't. But when I see someone dressed like crap, the watch is not sized, but sliding all over their arm and they are driving a Chevette, it's probably a fake. It's a total package. Most people with nice watches have an all around high end taste in clothing, shoes , cars etc. That's just the reality of life.
There are several threads on here about people buying rep clothing, shoes, wallets, and pens. I don't think many people have an aversion to buying other types of reps.So I am wondering why are people so against fake clothes but not watches. I do not mean to call people out I would really like to know.
interesting thread.
I think that the biggest tell of all replicas is the owner. I mean, it all depends about who are you and what people know about you. If you have a 1,500$ salary most of people that know about that will obviously suspect that you have a rep instead of a 8.000$ watch; same the opposite, if you have a more solid financial income even a cheaper replica on your wrist will fool most of the people.......
Of course people don't need to know how much your salary is to have an idea about your financial situation (car, house, clothes, lifestyle......)
Not to put anyone down but I saw a thread were they ask what other reps you would own and every one said nothing else no clothes no fake chains nothing. But wearing a Replica watch does not phase them. I personally was not always able to buy a Gen Rolex so I saved up to buy Gen Tag Heuer watches I never thought about wearing a Replica and did not know they were so good now. I don't know but it would bum me wearing a Replica. I personally would buy the cheaper Tag.
So I am wondering why are people so against fake clothes but not watches. I do not mean to call people out I would really like to know.
I agree I think most DSSD owners researched their watch. But I think they would have them next to each other unless they have been here
+1 BigI think enthusiast forums like this one really make it seem like most people care about the topic being discussed, but in reality, very few in the real world actually do....
