DSN 5218-202/A. What to upgrade?

Rolli did make the 202a will be almost impossible to find one.

I had a Rolli 202A and 201A dial and sold them, then regretted it every day after. have some Belkin dials coming but im not sure they are as good as the rolli dials. ill see when i get them, but they are the best out there at the moment.

Rolli dials were legendary.

However, Belkin is doing amazing work with his dials. Only slight downside for me would be the fact that the text is engraved and filled rather than pad printed. But this is not visible at all when dial is installed (apart from maybe being slightly bolder).

Also the pricing is very good for such custom work.

Surely the best option for Pre-V dials right now.

Too bad that DSN is gone now, the proper Pre-V cases are therefore gone too…

I agree, I've not got my Belkin dials in hand yet, but they are on the way. I wasn't aware of the font being engraved. I hope you are right that it is not really visible. I'm kind of anal about details like that lol

Yea i reached out to DSN last fall to see if he had any left over stock and no dice. I bought quite a lot of his case sets over the years. they were quite good !

Weird fact I just realised after contacting the original seller of the DSN base for this project, when I wanted to show progress of mods done to it.

It turns out I bought this watch from… UOMO! Our well known scammer who happens to sneak back in here under numerous new aliases all the time.

Interestingly he not only delivered this watch without issues but also added a complimentary strap.

Not meaning to hijack the thread but I think it'w worth to mention that Belkin12 made an update on his most recent batch. He made a tremendous upgrade by retouching the shape of 2 in 12 and the side of 6. Besides he implemented lume with a smooth and semi-gloss texture I have seen only on Rolli dials. Imho these details make them at least on par with SD and Southy dials if not better.

No the gen lume has a glossy varnish on it, photos may not always show this up as it will differ on angle of Watch face and also angle/direction of light.

Lacquer is UV 820, a natural resin lacquer

It’s a great watch, I wouldn’t sweat all the details so much, it has sent many a rep head insane, including myself

It’s great looking watch! I would not do any other changes regarding a dial.
“Maybe” if you can source genuine Swiss Unitas 6497 movement then you would be closer to gen. But other then that, this watch looks perfect. Wear it in good health.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I love it the way it is right now! Franken Rollies have a well deserved break.

Just a slight dismay about how after basically having it in the works for three months (shipping and what not) I receive it right after an upgraded dial gets released My luck

Another thing is the availability of the new dial though, with current situation in Ukraine it may be available but most likely it is not.

BTW, anyone heard from Belkin12 recently?
