I really like the Glidelock Clasp on my Sub-C Rep. I have a TC 16610LV on order and am worried I am going to miss my Glidelock Clasp. Does anyone use the newer clasp on the older style bracelet? Or does anyone user the newer solid link bracelet and clasp on a 16610 (or similar)?

I'm using one on my LV build right now. Love the glide lock!

Check with others, but it is my understanding that the glidelock won't fit on the order style bracelets.

Don't know where you got that from. I have the DSSD glidelock on my regular 16660 SeaDweller.

I was wondering the same thing? Where you guys able to order just the clasp or did you have to get the whole bracelet from a TD?

I have done it, on and off. Works fine. In the end I prefer the lighter clasp though.

I was wondering about this same thing. Sorta wish subs would have a better band in general. Imagine the band of a Seiko White Knight on a sub! Now that is a great band....

The New Generation of Sub Bracelets are outstanding. Not really sure how you could possibly make them better. IMO. Heavier...but very functional and solid. Aside from reports of Glidelock clasps failing :).....

I even have a glidelock on a 93150 on my acrylic crystal gen tudor. The tin foil clasp didnt sit right on my wrist, so I had to flip it around to get it to sit right, which was annoying. The glidelock fits much better.

i am using a glide lock clasp on my gen 16613 rolex and it works fine. My old clasp broke and it was a rolex clasp but a piece of junk. took it to my rolex dealer and he could not locate one--send the whole watch back to rolex and rolex said--no new clasp--whole new bracelet is needed..for...$3000!! and that was before gold started it out of site climb. had them send it back and ordered a watch with the glide lock on it--took it off and been wearing it ever since. fits perfectly

GlideLock works fine and fits with no problems on any old style bracelet, as long as it´s made at least in the same specifications.
...I have used a GlideLock on my 16610 Sub, and also on a GMT-II Coke for some time, just for the kicks.

You can see my conclusions here:

You did the same thing I did with the DSSD glidelock, and removed the extender links.

Yeah, the extender links after some while get quite wild to keep shut/closed...So, I just removed them.
Also, fitment on my wrist wasn´t perfect with it (my wrists are 6,25")

But changing clasps with solid midlink bracelets might be a problem sometimes, as the factories use different screws in some bracelets (different diameter or screwy ends, so they not fit on some bracelets from different factories.

Other than that, it´s just fine...

Cheers,
Spirit.

Yeah I did the same thing on my LV... I prefer it. Feels more "real" or solid. ;)
