Sooooo, my new ceramic sub arrived yesterday!!! Yay!!!!

The lume is green instead of blue like it's supposed to be... Booo!!!

I emailed MR to see what we can do, just haven't heard back from him yet. I know he's dealing with some family issues so I'm sure he'll get back to me.

Other than the lume issue the watch is awesome. I just need to brush the center links but will wait to do that until I get the lume issue straightened out.

I'll post pics tomorrow...

Ok. The lume issue with MR has been resolved. My eyes must be broken.

The lume is blue. It is just a different shade of blue than my DSSD has. MR says they came from different factories so the lume would be slightly different.

I looked at the review Spirit did of the blue sub and the lume on mine looks pretty close to his so I'm happy...

It is an awesome watch from an awesome seller. I will definitely be buying my next rep from MR. He has been very helpful and accommodating through this whole process. He even offered to pay for shipping back to him and to ship the new watch to me just to make sure I was satisfied.

I'll be keeping the watch though and will be wearing it happily.

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow...

NASCAR Crewchief says: GREEN LIGHT BOYS! GO!GO!GO!GO! (or should I mean "blue light" boys? lol)

This is the one my friend has, and it´s from the same factory from the Blue Cerachrom I reviewed. It´s just flawless, and the only thing you will have to do to get a REALLY accurate to gen Sub, is to brush the bracelet, as it comes with polished midlinks.

It´s even on my list, and I´m gonna buy this exact one from MR soon.
Go with no fear....it´s a keeper.

Cheers,
Spirit.

Thank you for all the great knowledge. Based on this thread, I ordered the black SS sub from MR. While it's on its way, I want to get ready for its arrival, and get everything I need to make the bracelet accurate.

What do I need to polish the center links? I have a dremel tool, is there a good brush that I could use? Also, with regard to the buckle...do I need to brush that too? What about around the crown and underneath?

I want to take the time and have it look as close to gen as possible. Finally, is there someone who I should ship it to that does an excellent job to avoid risking it myself?

Thanks much everyone!

@Greg325i

You don't need all that. I use the green scotch brite dish scrubbing pads. Cut it into a small square/rectangle and all you do is essentially wipe the pad down the bracelet in one direction. Go with the grain and it will look great. Make sure you only go one direction.

Don't do around the crown guards or the back. Just do the center links of the bracelet and the center of the clasp...

by the way, I posted pics under the rolex section called something like "new ceramic sub from MR"...

I'll post a couple tomorrow of the brushed midlinks...

Sorry, when I said "crown" I didn't mean on the watch, I meant the crown rolex logo on the buckle/clasp. Isn't that supposed to stay polished, even though the rest of the braclet is brushed?

I brushed the center links of my Invicta sub homage, and I actually had to break out the sandpaper. It turned out great, but the scrubbing pad was not breaking it down.

ahhhhh. gotcha. yes the crown itself is shiny i think. it's not easy to get around all the little places...

the green pads worked great on the Rollie. not sure about other watches... maybe the steel is a little different or something.

Hmmmm.... DEEPSEA GlideLock there, eh, Sam? =D
Looking good so far, mate!

....But, yeah. The Insert is looking like it has no engraved numbers on the ceramic... I think you might have used a bit too much paint and it´s looking like a regular/old aluminium insert from a 16610.

Cheers,
Spirit.

Hey Spirit,

That's the same clasp I have on my new ceramic sub. Not the same as the deepsea. This is the correct one that slides from the inside...

On yours, it´s the correct one, Markh =)
...But on PCSAM´s one, it´s the DEEPSEA. Or at least, seems so. Notice the indent where you open the fliplock buckle, it doesn´t have the round indent like the gen.

Cheers,
Spirit.
