I wonder whether Hont has that one, too.

I already asked Hont. He sent me pics of the one he had but said it had Green lume. Go back a page or so in this thread and I posted one of the pics he sent me...

I know there is, at least, one factory around that sell the black new ceramic sub with blue lume, correct engarving rehaut and correct clasp.

I bought mine here in my country, the flaw was that the watch had polished mid links in the bracelet, I used the green side of scotch brite and fixed it.

Here is a wristshot

So I got the pics of the ceramic sub I ordered from Marvellous Replica. It is the one Spirit approved. This is a pic of my actual watch. Should be on it's way to me... WOO HOOO!!!

Sorry for the big size. Also, you may not be able to view it. Apparently, my pics have to be approved by a Moderator. I sent a message to the "contact us" button at the bottom of the pages but haven't heard back yet. If a Mod reads this, please approve my pics and let me know why this restriction is in place. Thanks...

G. Curcio,

...Just buy the black one and keep both of them! That´s what I´m gonna do later on! They´re the same reps, on different colors.
But they mimic completely different range of watches (in price) ....just keep them both! lol

Cheers,
Spirit.

Hey Spirit,

Did you brush the mid-links on your blue sub? Do you have a pic of how it turned out?

Do you approve of the one I bought from MReplica? I've got tracking info and can't wait to get it...

Markh,

No, I didn´t brush the midlinks of my blue Sub and I´m not ever going to do that.. lol
...The Blue Sub GEN counterpart is the highest end Submariner on the Rolex Sub line, and is a full White Gold model. I really like it the way it is.
The only Subs that will come with brushed midlinks are the Stainless Steel ones, which are the black Sub, and the LV Green Sub.

When I get a black Sub for me, I´ll brush the midlinks to give it a gen look. but the blue one I´ll keep as it is and should be =)
Yep, you have made a good choice on the one from MReplica, mate. That´s a very good one, no doubt about that!

Here´s my white gold 116619LB Blue Cerachrom Submariner Date :)

Yep. I agree with you. I forgot that one was supposed to be white gold. Now all I need is a good GMT Master IIc... Who do you recommend for that?

The same ones...MR or Hont =)

If you´re going with MReplica, ask for the V3 GMT-IIc, he will know what you´re talking about, as I myself talked with him about this watch.

Spirit, what i meant to say was I should have consulted you & shop'd around more, i.e. contacted more dealers, regarding the blue sub. The version I got is not as accurate, green lume, poor pearl, incorrect clasp, as the one Mreplica/Hont sell.

Oh well, my lesson has been learned...

Spirit what should be the correct color for the numbers on the bezel of the blue sub? when i check the Rolex site (where the pics are very surreal looking, more like illustrations than pictures) the numbers look very white but my rep smurf's bezel numbers are almost a khaki shade of green and so do the ones in yours in this pic.
i think i want to do a paint mod on mine but i'm still on the fence about this.

Hey Pil,

Well, first of all it´s needed to understand how it´s done and which materials are used.
The Ceramic bezels on all Rolex (Submariner, GMT-IIc and DEEPSEA) are made with the same process, which is micro-pulverizing platinum over the bezel.
Platinum, as you know, has a silver hue, and on this form, it shines ALOT. That´s why some of the pics of the numbers, they look really white, when it´s only reflection produced by the sparkles of platinum deposited there on the engravings.

So, white is definitely not the right color on the bezel, it should be heavily shiny. and if you were to paint the numbers on yours, I´d recommend pearlescent silver, or something like that, but it would yet be wrong, as the color wouldn´t be reproduced that well.
The actual color on the numbers of the GEN ceramic Rolex, is more like grey-ish...but as explained, due to the high "shineness" (does that word exist?) it looks white in some pics.

I´ve painted mine pearlescent silver with gloss, so it will change a bit with lighting on the pics, but still can´t reproduce the correct way it´s made.

Look at this pic of mine, what color do you think it is on this pic?

thanks for the blurb Spirit.
i still can't really say what color the numbers look like in that pic for sure. but if all the ceramic bezel Rolexes have the platinum numbers, you're right, white is not correct. my new V3 GMT II has a perfect looking ceramic bezel and numbers and it is not exactly white, more silvery cream colored. i'm not sure i will try to paint my blue sub bezel as i think it will be impossible to not get the paint on the tiny inside lip of the engraved number. there is no white color here on my GMT II, only the inset face of the number has the color and the lip is black ceramic still.

In regards to the paint mod for the bezel, would it not be appropriate to go out and buy a platinum color paint? Surely they sell a paint color called "platinum"...no? If they don't maybe a pearlescent paint in white or silver would do the trick. Of course I'm only speculating because I shy away from doing mods because I know in advance I would jack up the project.

G.Curcio, that could have been me: Thoughts on paint and thoughts on screwing up.

Maybe I'll try one of these particle paints.

....I´ve noticed that the newest watches are coming with excellent number color on the bezel.
So, another option, would be contact some of our trusted dealers to see if they can source the new ceramic bezel inserts to you, so you could change the one on your watch.

Of course, I guess it´s a tricky and more expensive option, but might solve the issue definitely.

Cheers,
Spirit.
