I prefer an understated look and a chrono watch seems to busy and cluttered to me. And personally I have no use of the chrono functions.

Depends on the watch for me. Some look better plain while the chrono suits others (and I have no use for it).
Usually I prefer non-chrono, simpler watches though.

almost all my watches have chronos simply for the look or the particular watch i want has them, but i never use them. the only watches i will NOT get with chrono's is panerai....now i think thats too busy with the crown guard.

I have a few chronos but now don't really consider them for purchase.... Some look cool but I don't really have any need for a stopwatch. They tend to be less reliable, service tends to cost much more. So less chronos for me.....more for the rest of you. I'm starting to feel the same way about date windows..... 
I now Prefer watches with no date window.... I must be getting old and boring... :wink:

I don't mind date windows. Although, I hate magnified date windows. This is the main reason I haven't bought a Chopard XL yet...

Really depends on the watch, for instance:
IMHO
PO looks great without chrono's
TAG Link looks boring without chrono
I like the Timewalker GMt better than the chrono
Love the understated looks of PAMS, but still do like the 196

I agree with you Boss. The Tag would look boring withough the chronos but on most watches chronos dont look good. Take for example the new chopard Migle Miglia with chronos. Looks like there is too much going on the dial and it takes away from the watch. I find chronos useless other than for looks but there are very few watches that can pull of the chronos. Very few.
I hate FAUX-chronos. I can understand people getting them, but if there's a non-faux available, I can't get the faux.
