To me most of them are overcomplicated looking and appeal to the techno-geek type of pride. They are not rugged enough for a sportwatch and are usually too big for a dress watch. I try to figure out what I would actually use on for and can't really figure anything out in real life. Just trying to see what time it is without taking a real long look at the watch can be challenging on many.
A great deal of owners don't really know how to set or operate them properly which causes them to appear even more unreliable than they already are. When I wear the couple I have around my large company the engineers are facinated and everyone else is bored to tears. The appear to be as universally appealing as a computer on your wrist.
