It really is unfortunate if RG was taken down due to a malicious attack. I post there sometimes like I used to at RWG, but we are all interested in the same thing basically, and each of the 3 sites has their own distinct cabal of knuckleheads and some really good, funny, and intelligent people. Of the 3 RWI is the best IMHO, but it is alway's amusing and enlightening to to read the different viewpoints. When one of us is attacked though, all of us are. All 3 of these rep sites have a sense of quality and professionalism,
and I wish RepGeek the best, and hope they get their problems fixed, and hope that something similar never happens to any of us again.

I hope they get it up soon... I've been trying to pm someone to buy something off them since it went down....

Hopefully it'll be back tomorrow... or is that later today?

I'd like to know where a rep forum got 40Gs in the first place. That's a lot of raffles.

Well, you don't have to become VIP, so it's not mandatory. Also, the $30 are for lifetime membership, not just for a year.

Hey I have nothing against it.. I'm a VIP over there .. so clearly I thought it was worth paying for it.

It's still income. Even non profit org. still have to file. I doubt the man holding the bag has filed.

Why should anyone care if the Admin file a tax return. Bit worrying really that people are concerned about other people filing tax returns when we are all engaged in an illigal hobby

exactly T4D. It's illegal but tolerated. But the gift will not tolerate being outer on it's cut. Look at Capone.Youll do more time for stealing from uncle Sam than for murder.
One money starts exchanging hands it's fair game.

I really don't care... i was only wondering because i am an accountant and i never thought about revenue being generated through a non profit forum. no need to raise any concerns. personally, i definitely wouldnt file a tax return if i was them and im all for the black market! I always joked with my friends that my goal was to open a black market accounting firm, because they need accountants too. when i say joking i am also serious cause that would be a lot more interesting than workin for KPMG.

Who started the myth, that it was a non profit forum?
O/S

Guess that someone was you O/S certainly wasn't me !
I wouldn't concern myself with if they earn money or not.
I personally hope they earn a fortune the more they earn the more they will look after the forum.
There is no taste in nothing.
They certainly get their fair share of people speculating as to how much they earn.
Don't know if it's just healthy interest or the green eyed monster in people
