the dealers in question were never banned from here, they were removed from the trusted dealers list because of their business practices and price controlling. a search will provide all the story if interested. i was never banned from rg.

Repgeek is suffering from a DDOS attack, a real nasty one that needs a high end piece of Cisco equipment to be installed to fix it, last update was that it will be in on Monday. :shock:

There's a whole RepGeek section thats been set up for the refugees over on rwg.cc where you'll be able to read the lastest updates directly from Sylar.

Not that I smoke or such,.... but I have a feeling this is one of those things I would only understand if I were to get high.

DOS is a denial of service attack. I believe that DDOS is when a specific server is targeted by a multitude of attackers (computers). I wonder who would go to all that trouble? Maybe there are some watch manufacturers out there that don't appreciate Repgeek's community service.

If this is a DDOS attack as previously mentioned, and their server is hosted where I know it's hosted,, then

1. it would be the longest DDOS attack in recorded history on any server anywhere in the world,, ever... (even prior to their server being shut down) and that... yeah.. likely not the issue.
2. The equipment being purchased would already be in place (if not better) as the host is one of the most respected server hosts in the EU and has sites far more expensive, important and larger than RG that it must protect.
3. The only Cisco product that can be purchased for an issue like this cost $40,000.00 so I am told , why would anyone spend that money for a rep forum and... how could anyone have that kind of money laying around to buy something like this... but again,, should not be necessary.

Regardless of problem, I know how issues can be a pain in the arse, best of luck.

Search keywords: jandrew, cartel, josh

And here's a summary: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=42114&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=jandrew

Thank you ahw, i am not done reading through it but so far its giving me goosebumps! Extremely interesting threads and if any noobies want to know what kind of forum RWI is they need to read this. You guys really do care about your forum members, it even almost brought a tear to my eye. At this moment, you guys are even discussing a situation with members sales! always working hard, and thank you again. And sorry if i butt in to your discussions, its hard for me to shut up sometimes.

@daytona4me
Yeah those thoughts crossed my mind. I'm not what some consider an internet-veteran, as i'm "only" around since 1995 really. I've seen some things and done some myself and i have to agree on all your points above.

Working in Enterprise IT myself i'd like to add, that none of my customers would ever put a switch in place to repell a DOS, especially if it is kit that is brought by the customer.
