simple solution post the pictures on time zone and see what the experts tell you it is a genuine rolex movement nothing fake at all

five experts including official rolex watchmakers inspected the mvt and said that it has aftermarket parts
even rbj said that it is very often for these mvts to have aftermarket parts

you saw two pics of it and you want to have an opinion???

it's not an opinion, it is a fact, genuine rolex movement, but hey, lets not believe me or your five experts (you must live in a big city in greece where there are 5 rolex experts) do as i ask, post this on timezone and then we can see that you are a lyar

don't take my word for it, go and post the pictures of the movement on timezone and see what the experts say, what are you afraid of, or if you like i will post the pictures for you. it's a genuine rolex 1570, no one makes aftermarket parts for rolex. if you say they do then post the link or the site where you can buy these aftermarket parts for rolex, not crystals and stuff, movement parts show us

you have done this same thing in the past, this is not the first time and will not be the last and members here need to know exactly what type of person you are, a disturbed one for sure.

There are at least 100 Rolex experts in Athens, Greece. Also, 15 Rolex ADs and one Rolex official service
More than most of the cities I know
I have dealt with more than 15 members here as a seller and buyer with not one problem

so...go take a shower

@xbt123 you seem to have some intimate knowledge of gen pieces and of our little community here. Any other screen names you use on the other boards? I'll tell you for a fact that the watch service people I use fix 40 year old Rollies, Hamiltons, etc. where they get some of their part I have know idea, I will say that I know they actually make some of the parts they can't get.

Oh and on a side note, I've gotta think that because Rolex doesn't service their pieces after a certain time frame there has to be someone making after market parts. Maybe I'm completely off base here but I can't believe someone wouldn't cash in on that segment of the market.

No. But we can get a feel for wether or not its a gen movement (with or without aftermarket parts).

I would also be inclined to think there are more aftermarket parts for Rolex than people care to admit or realize. Heck it's illegal to make counterfeit Rollies but it's still done. There are also many ways and talents out there for parts replication on a small scale which has been previously mentioned. It would be naive to believe that aftermarket parts are not being made. Illegal or not.

It seems to be the general consensus that the base movement is genuine or at least the major parts and or the layout. The watch runs impecably. So....a craftsman made some aftermarket parts to make the watch work as designed or a watch smith put in some used genuine parts. To me this isn't really too big of deal because your buying a working watch that has been crafted to look as close to the gen as possible. Value? It is only worth what the highest bidder will pay. The same would hold true for my franken SMP. In most cases a franken is only worth more parted out as Fakemaster mentioned. So, if another buyer loves this franken then he/she should buy it and wear it in good health.

So in summary: Genuine / Aftermarket what's the big deal? Your buying a franken. If you love it, keep it, if your unsatisfied don't.
