I've dealt with Denis numerous times. I even passed along the 1680 I won in the raffle last year , to him. I've communicated with him off the forums. I read this in the morning , and realized he has blocked me everywhere. It saddens me because he is one of the people I trusted here. But it also goes to show what can happen. Hence why these " trusted buyer " proposals are useless. In my short time here, I've seen more than a few long time members go bad.
I see it the other way, bmw -- this is why we need a way to certify trusted buyers. A TD just got scammed again.
Long time member != trusted buyer
Trust needs to be earned with satisfactory transactions (ie exchange of money), not # posts or popularity with other members.
This is how the financial industry does business; it can work for us too.
Doing nothing different seems to be a bad idea.

I'd rather lose all my reps and still be welcome here than have a box full of reps with no access to any future models or the sense of community.
Denis had a lot of satisfactory transactions. It didn't stop him from becoming a scammer.

I can tell you that I personally had multiple good transactions with him. I know at least 6 other people who did as well. I'm sure his track record with TD's was extensive. We are not talking about a member who just posted funny pictures or "GLWS". There is plenty of content and interaction from Denis. Which goes to show you that anyone can go rogue. I can't explain why this happens. It's sad , because we lose someone we considered a friend. We wouldn't be posting here , in shock if we didn't believe in the guy. But sadly , people resort to desperate measures sometimes for whatever reasons.
Anyone knows who's the TD?

Guys let's organize a raffle to refund some of the money lost by the td, this would be our response as a community.
Jeppers Jenny, no gents! Not yet. Let's get this figured out first please. Nice gesture though. A lot of dealers get scammed continually btw, it really blows but it's part of doing business. Anyway, lets see what we can do first.
I wish it was. Unfortunately , the more we find out , the worse it looks.
Who did you contact mate?
