Delivery issue and no comms from Trusty.....

Hi RWI users,

Just wanted to share my experience of dealing with Trusty Time (via TrustyTime.xyz when it was working).

Decided on a nice looking Omega Speedy Moonwatch and plonked my CC details to make the payment.

No QC pics or anything sent but got a tracking link a day or so later and hoped to have a watch in hand within a few weeks. That was back in September 2022.

I wrote it off as my emails about where it was went unanswered but I decided to post here because another user of this site, who reffered me to Trusty Time, told me that I should absolutely not be letting this go given that £356 has effectively gone walkies from my card which I'm paying.

Maybe I used the wrong Trusty Time site - but perhaps this review will warn others to be wary.

I've ordered watches from other suppliers before without issue and have nothing but good things to say about [[Redacted due to phishing warnings]] (again pre-ukraine invasion purchase so don't hate on me for the url) - who whatsapps me every now and again to let me know what they have.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but unfortunately you used a copy-cat scam website.

Only use the dealer websites that are linked here in the Trusted Dealer section.

Unfortunately this is all too common. That is indeed a scam site.

A drunken leprechaun on a three-legged unicorn rode into his children's room 30 years ago at night and softly whispered the words "when you grow up, you will only buy your replica watches at Trustytime" in his ear. I guess it just stuck ever since!

PS: Kidding aside. Yes, going through Google is what gets you. I don't even think most real TD sites are even actually listed. And even if, the chances are practically 100% that the first couple of pages of results are scam sites.

It's regrettable and —in principle— I'm sorry for the OP.

But this happened last September. He's been a member for a week on RWI and he indicated that he still assumes it is potentially possible that it was the real Trusty he was dealing with. Like, seriously now?

I'm sorry, but that part of the story enrages me. There are a ton of resources out there, here, on the 2 RWGs, Repgeek, Reptime and countless blogs and Facebook groups and things like that. Not only did the OP not do his due diligence back in September, he has also been too lazy for almost an entire year to verify whether he was dealing with the legit Trusty and not a scammer?

No, I'm sorry... But if I look at it that way, no compassion from me! Tough luck, bro. You very obviously kinda had it coming back in September. I'm the last guy to not show the utmost compassion with scam victims, and I have plenty of times done exactly that. But each time, the case was that they showed up here and said "Hey, I now know that I screwed up...".

Read the OP's post slowly and tell me there's no not-so-hidden message in between the lines saying "Hey, this could still have been the real Trusty, so I want to warn you... Just in case.".

Just look at the title of the thread alone.

And let's face it, it's not like we will ever see him again on here.

Never thought of that either. I always find it quite interesting that I have first hand experience with a TD only to find a new person creating a new account and just slapping on a negative experience.

Perhaps a rival trying to bring a TD down or just someone being bitter for having a bad experience due to their lack of due diligence? Useless!

So he had experience purchasing multiple replica watches at least 7 months prior to getting allegedly scammed by a TD. He lets 10 MONTHS pass, creates an account, leaves one sketchy post and never returns. He got referred to a TD from a user here and made a purchase without creating an account here (or has multiple currently and probably reading this thread to see if the smear tactic is effective). The story is either fake or I've lost any faith in humanity but either way.......the not guilty verdict goes to the defendant.
