That watch is $600ish
how do you get to a thousand?

That said, you are fully entitled to post a negative review of your experience. Noone has challenged that.

What people are trying to tell you is that it is common and documented knowledge that sending a watch back is a gamble. So is buying a counterfeit from China over Internet.

Samewise, last time I got a gen repaired at an AD, they sent it to the factory in Switzerland. It took months for me to get it back, France to Europe. The AD refused to give me any date, saying he did not know....
and the repair cost me 2000€

So, your expectations are simply not right.

You're part of the new entitled members that join. First post is always a compliant or some stupid multiple post timeline. How about giving us some content or feedback on reps vs gens based off what you see with your eyes. I'm sure nothing will change because the new breed is all about tracking and qc
I guess there are two ways this forum is used. First and most important one is it serves as a platform to exchange thoughts, opinions and information between horology enthusiasts. I am certainly not one of them and in this capacity I am not able to contribute. More over, my personal experience is of very little value (if any) to you or to many other regulars. Having said that I don't think it is useless to thousands of new potential customers looking for their first purchase from one of the TDs and all I am saying is that from my experience I do not recommend them to purchase from InTime. It was quite entertaining to see the spectrum of reactions to my first post from members, who no doubt consider themself adults

you're angry, it's understandable... or at least I think I understand you.

Maybe you still have time to stop...calm down and try to resolve

There are people here who can really help you like they helped me
Thank you VixLa3. Any advise or offer of help would be greatly appreciated. Angry - no, frustrated yes. When I got the watch, I couldn't believe how beautiful it was and to see it taken from my wrist did not make me happy. What makes it worth that having been burned I would never fork another $1000 for a rep, and the gen could only be bought from grey market for 3 X RRP (and possibly ends up being a fake as well).

Ah, after my last experience with a Gen, I'm done (at least for now)... I can tell but it doesn't seem like the right time.

I also had a hard approach with TDs and I'm still experiencing chaotic order, but I hope to resolve it calmly...I understand your frustration and the real point you wanted to make

I would advise you to take a look here on the forum at some guys who could easily solve the problem on your GMT, if you can recover it

I had gen German DK36 repaired locally, it took more than a month waiting for spare part and it never worked properly after being repaired. Ended up sending it Singapore to the shop I bought it from. The watch has been repaired in about a month, I had tons of emails from them advising of the progress and the watch arrived back in a brand new box so naturally I tried to apply the same logic.

If I told you about my last experience with a Gen I would make you laugh out loud 😅

Anyway, we are here, I repeat, there are guys who could solve your problem if you recover the watch.

They would have no interest in treating you badly, also because you would be protected by the forum

All Ryan needs to do is to call the factory and ask where the hell is such and such watch, why is it it taking so long and when is it going to be repaired. At the end of the day the factory that produces quite a quantity of them should be able to replace the movement in reasonable time. As at no time I made a conscious effort to piss him off, up until now at least, I don't quite understand why he hasn't done so far. It would easily defuse the situation...

I wouldn't go into the dynamics you're referring to...people older than me on this forum have already told you enough :)

Ryan has a great reputation here, but I discussed it straight away, unlike you who were calm for months...Ryan doesn't seem like a person who holds back, in the end we said goodbye with respect, obviously I didn't buy from him

But it is the only starting point for solving your problem, try not to miss this opportunity

Thread title changed.

Your thread is about crapping on the dealer, it's not the dealers fault that the factory is slow at repairs.

you said it all.
Gen. Legal business above ground. High margins. Customer service.

You should really read up some posts that explain the context in China, the relationship between TD and Factories, the raids, the factory owners or the TD getting jailed etc...

These people are operating an illicit business, under a complex supply chain, with rather small margins per watch.

Again, it's ok to post an objective post relating your experience. Not every review is glowing. The point is that you need to understand what is it you bought, from whom and how you bought it.

Try to buy that GMT at a Rolex shop. They won't even sell it to you, or you wouldn't be here

Not even if you studied at Trump University and have two Master? :ROFLMAO:

Now now, OP is not at this stage yet 😅
He is frustrated and was lashing out.
However, from his latest posts, I can see that he is starting to understand.

@No_Firefighter7757, @VixLa3 and myself are genuinely trying to avoid you from burning yourself here. Please do see the good intent.

If your watch is indeed with the TD, it's safe and your money is good. Noone can do anything about the wait though.

please read this:

It refers to the first order but does speak about spare parts and repairs to. The after sales service is even more strained.

Sure Kabron74, it was an attempt at a joke to lighten up this thread :)

But the thread of the two Master left its mark on me! :ROFLMAO:

Actually, if he does not know about the context of the joke, he needs to engage more on the forum.

also, hopefully for OP, he will not become part of the running jokes of RWI

Yet he didn't seem like a bad guy to me, maybe he won't come back again...but I remain convinced that it can resolve the situation...and in any case it touched on interesting points for many new members.

To become a memorable joke on RWI, he would have to try really hard, he doesn't seem like the type to me :)

When I sent my gen rolex to be serviced, it was right after the holidays. I got it back 8 months later. From the RSC in Dallas. You are expecting your experience to be the same as ordering from Amazon or Target...maybe Walmart. You are buying counterfeit goods sold illegally from a country that regularly raids the "factories", which are mostly crappy apartments populated with workers who show up, do the job and go home. They do not care about you. The TD's do not visit these places, the "runner" does. There is no period to order the next season's product, as it is done here. There is no showroom. You are expecting something that doesn't happen. 5 months is not out of the realm of possibilty for your situation.
