Scared that my Daytona might be too far removed from the original. Can I wear this with confidence if I’m around Rolex lovers? I’m kinda sure they haven’t held a gen Daytona

Well, I can already call you out the fact that doesn't look like White Gold plating.

It may just be the lighting too, but that meteorite dial is too soft and light looking, not textured enough.

None of that matters though, if you're flaunting it in a watch group or a group you'll regularly attend, the simple question is : do you make enough money to afford a 100k watch? Yes or no?

Personally, I wouldn't wear a meteorite Daytona around any enthusiast Rolex. Unless you're a big client/collector of Rolex, or multi millionaire, the questions you'll get are most likely how you acquired one. These things are very rare in the wild, even amongst collectors. You may be used to it because we see alot of them on the rep forums, but in real life they're not easy to come back.

Yea well, you probably shouldn't be trying to pass of a Chinese toy watch as a gen anyway.

I'd suggest sourcing an ARF Dial for it.

But that would still leave it with a SUGESS rehaut. You'd need to polish that off. Which in turn won't be correct for the 500 Models lol

Thanks bro. I will keep it as is for the moment, as I don't know how to remove those tiny subdial hands. I guess I will buy a modern and vintage dayto at some point

How To remove the top AR?

You can remove it with cape cod
Easy with dremmel and cape cod but not easy with hand
I do it with hand but i did twice and i know how to do, you need a 1-2 hours of rubbing with hand
Dremmel take 5 mins to remove it
