I carefully read all 12 pages.
Congratulations for the beautiful creation
I would like to wear a similar project on my wrist, certainly not so frank for cost reasons.
I wonder, if GF in the post raid tungsten version no longer has the Gen weight, does it make sense to buy it? in order not to have the gen weight perhaps this point is better clean which has good bases for the mod... Among other things, could the one weighted by j time be a model that came out badly? Anyone have any idea what a non-tungsten clean might weigh?

So, I avoid opening a dedicated post and continue with this one hoping it becomes a point of reference given the excellent work done in recent months.

I checked, the @Le_Connoisseur photos gave it at 145g while now on jtime it seems to weigh 139g I think it's a minimal difference and perhaps it could be a lighter example. However, I am inquiring through other TDs about the purchase and the weight.

My idea would be to start from this GF base and insert some Mod pieces, I will evaluate gen pieces only with really advantageous prices, also I wouldn't know where to find them.

My idea would be:
-Dial rb
-Bezel clean v3 or sbongebob
-Clean bracelet v3
-White gold plating
-Deep crystal

where do you recommend I look for the deep crystal and the rb dial? I have never purchased loose pieces...

Hey ! Happy that this thread continue to help people !
To resume : IMO GF dial (if it’s still the same as one I had many months ago) is the better 116519LN rep dial. Better than Clean or RB.
-Bezel from SpongeBob is a huge upgraded VS the CF v3 !
-Clean Oysterflex are the best for sure !
-White gold plating is a game changer but needs to be done by real professionals.
-I have no return on deep Crystal for Daytona, Gen one is a game changer too, as there is no cyclop on Daytona, deep Crystal would work for less price than Gen !
So have a nice Franken project ! Just forget about the RB dial and focus on a good WG plating !!

It would be nice if you post some pics to make this thread continue living !

Have a good day guys !

my fear is that after the gold factory raid something may have changed, the different weight is already a symptom. I'll look for as much info on it. For plating I have the same modder who plated yours near me in Italy 😊
so you advise spongebob bezel and not to get another dial unless I go on the meteorite as a @Autobús ? what do you think about buff hands instead?

It was beneficial to swap hands on mine. I went with buff.

I believe the 139 grams you are seeing on jtime were early examples. Most actual received pieces ended up in the mid 140s. Although I havent seen any post raid ones.

One thing I would consider scrutinizing highly on QC is the endlinks. Ive seen a few with questionable gaps.

Keep us posted.

Since I'm not yet very expert on these details, can you find some posts on which I can sharpen my eye a bit on what I should evaluate and above all on how to recognize this detail?

I haven't received them yet but here's my approved QC if anyone interested.. I also have clean RG, was planning to do quick comparison when I get the GF.
I might be wrong but gold f uses dd4130 like clean/btf and aps uses sh4130

Have you already received your post raid GF? Have you been able to ascertain whether there has been a change in the quality of the details or whether nothing has changed overall?

Clean vs GF RG 116515ln comparisons
Left side will always be clean with met dial RG is plated by flan
Right will always be GF stock RG color
I'm very bad at these comparisons and not good taking these in depth pix.. but hope these will help with them side by side....
Few things I've noticed
** caseback to crystal thickness
Clean with gen xtal 11.9mm
Gf stock 12.2mm
** Gf crystal is really good.. almost reminds me of BTF or deep xtal
** all case dimensions are very similar if not the same. Lugs to lugs all around , clasp size, bezel.. etc. Almost similar case with added weight on midcase.
** both champagne sundust dial are very similar imo...
Overall it's pretty good compare to clean case. it's up to you if you think the extra 30g weight is worth it?
** GF RG tone is slightly lighter more Rosey color imo than the plated one from clean.. but very close.. the only huge difference I noticed is the GF has a different color compare to its GF midcase.. very noticeable more of a pink tone ish on the GF clasp.

Is the Gf a recent purchase? They were raided a month or two ago and I was curious to know if their quality had changed. The comparison seems to hold up well and I find the additional weight to be an important thing in these precious metal reps. I wonder if the thickness can be like gen by replacing the crystal and if it is a problem with the case perhaps.

Truly like my GF. However ive noticed the SEL gap is something to pay attention to on QC. Also the weight in the 130s isnt worth the premium to me. Previous batch mid to high 140s was more alluring.

I received qc around July.. just got this in hand this week because I was waiting for other pieces to ship them together. But I do have gen gasket and gen xtal on my clean and 12.2mm on gf isn't bad at all.. and as stated other measurements were all similar if not exact to my clean case.
I think it's all personal preference.. from 136gm to 140ish will you really notice that 5+plus heavier on wrist. Mostly like not..
but switching it from clean104g to the136g GF I did find a difference. hope this helps.

Agree on the sel, clean is better. Was planning to get apsf for comparison as well but hesitant now as I saw a couple of apsf case plating now has chipped off or the wrapped pieces flaked off.

About the Rose gold color (Yellow too), I can state that Rolex changed its alloy formulas recently, my mid 2023 116505 is really light and pinkish tone (like the GF it can be said) and I've seen others rose gold gen Rolexes which had the previous yellowish tone, so I would not care so much about this.
