I will say that Davidsen made good on a lot of issues I discovered besides the strapo size mixup. Two of my watches had some minor cosmetic issues that bugged me. The 3646 had the logo printed askew and a dimple--he sent a replacement. The Lug screw was bent on my 201a and he sent a replacement set (they are thicker then standard--hence no tubes needed I think) and he sent me free spring bars with my order and more with the parts he sent to replace the defective ones.

My PVD 195 screw bars were the standard thinner Panerai screws and did not have tubes. Hence my tube fetish :)

My two cents is that I am extremely pleased with his service and his quality. I just though th e didn't do "tuibes" hence my surprise that you got some :)

What I would say to you is send him the photo of the lume issues and explain that you think your dial may not be superlumed. He will make things right I am sure. Just remember to be polite and detailed as to the problem. A photo also helps :)

His actions with me -- standing behind his product-- spoke volumes about his character--he is A+ as far as I am concerned.

CISO

he sent 2 dials for my 195, they were both the same.

another $75 + postage to have it relumed. Disappointing to say the least. Specially when it was advertised as superlumed. Not to mention getting a brand new watch with stripped lugs...which was apparently known by the sender. But hey! Its all good! Its a rep of 10K watch, right...right? - "It's just a rep, man! If you want perfection buy the real thing!" (tm)

If it was me, I would be going ape, but apparently I am not drinking the Koolaid most are...

Tutima:

Your photo is a pretty accurate pic of what the lume looks like on my PVD 195.

The 201 a looks different because the hands are a slightly different color lume then the numbers on the dial.

I'd say the hands look torchlike in comparison to the dial numbers on mine too.

HK45:

Could it be because on the 195 it's a thin sausage style numbering on dial? The hands are a much broadeer section of lume. Also they may be using a thin mixture of lume? I'm just not sure not owning any reps that are true "torchburners"

I will say that I am happy to have a lume that works at ALL the lume on any of the other pams I own seems to be hands only!

now I am not too happy.

I hope that if this is the case, which from others I see it is, Davidsen will need to make some changes if not some refunds.

If I wanted a pam rep with no superlume, I'd have bought from another dealer.

vaccum relumed my 113 with c3 and davidsen hands. on the 113, the dial lume is tiny little dots. it glows just like the davidsen hands not to mention it is the correct color.

i don't know what has been used on these or how it was mixed, all i can say it is the wrong color and it doesn't glow like it should.

082_monster_lume_shot-1.jpg

..dissapointing to say the least...

that is exactly how my new superlumed 195 dial looks. i was going to buy this 082, a 177h and a 111h and that is not going to happen now. i am so digusted with my 195 i put it in my watch box and i haven't even looked at it since.

Hi,pls remmber to" charge" or expose the dial under strong light before taking any lum shots.
Sorry i do not have a 082 lume shot pics with me.But my 036 is same made of the same batch of
lume pigment.pls see the result.

i had already bought a 200.00 strap for this 082 but i threw it in the box with the 195.

Well my brand new 082 just stopped working this morning. It will run as I wind it but immediately stops when I stop. It will not work. So I am sending it back for a complete refund. I just dont want to deal with it!

From your picture the watch looks really nice and just what i wanted. This is the exact model that shipped to everyone correct? If it is then i wonder why the diferences between yours and the other poster that said he charged it.

from your pictures and davidsens pictures you can clearly see the quality difference in the two. the one dawges posted up is sloppily put together with residue of lume on the hands and a very sloppy 12 marker. davidsens is not flawed at all and has clearly been made with effort.

if I did not know better, I'd say these watches where made by two different people.

So you are saying that the one that davidsen just posted could be a different better built version than the one that arrived at the other posters house?

evidently.

I have not received mine yet either.

I can only hope it will be as davidsen described, but since so many have an issue I doubt I am any different.

If mine - when it arrives - looks like this, I will be quite content.

@roger - sorry you had some issues. I have never had an issue w/ a DSN movement - but any movement can fail. It's happened to me w/ another 6497.

take a closer look

Davidsens:

Un-named person who recieved an 82:

Look closely at the 12 o'clock markers, the second hand lume markers and over all the hr markers.

The second picture clearly shows a difference. I do not want to make any confusion here...I just see the difference in quality right away.

Yes, agree from this picture the dial is terrible! I hope Davidsen is aware of this and ensure all his watches has undergone some QC check.
