They use PPf base AFAIK, if it's better than 5711 or not, I am not really sure.

I ordered 5712 form NTD, it's very beautiful watch, but there is some minor issues ( SW markers are more roundned than Gen, the 6 clock marker shape, the space between double digits data( more obvious in 23,25,27,29).

So all in all, I think the 5711, could be easier to get closer the Gen ( if you get dail color close)

The 320 caliber movement in 5711 is definitely more stable than 240 of the 5712

So if you like the 5711, it's maybe better option.
It is a very beautiful watch Sir! Wear it in good health!

I feel that with a proper 5712, even with the issues you brought up, i think as the dial is so busy, the other people that would be looking at it won't even see the issues because there's just so much details, so it helps! Hahah

The question now is, what's the best base : 3FK V4 or PPF V4/V5?
If you want a myota movement no discussion --> ppf... overwise it is more personal preference....

If you accept to take the mod route, both are good bases and it will mainly be personal preference and modder 's ease of work...
it is a very personal opinion but for me the ppf will allow you to achieve a better result.

On both you'll have to have the crown guard, bezel, and mid case reshaped.
What makes my heart balancing toward ppf ... with the 3kf you will have to accept wide mid case bevels, which are an eyesore imo on a nautilus....

Finally got my QCs... looks great but the 12 o clock markers are bothering me. Might just be how the light is falling but they feel uneven in all the photos.

Thoughts?

12 markers looks ok, it's likely the light reflection. But make sure the area around 8,9 mints is clean. I see multiple white dots not sure if it's the dial. Double check it.

Thanks. They have sent me 5 or 6 close up pictures and you're right about the 12 marker. It is fractionally not perfect but I'm comfortable it won't be visible in real life size. For the white spots they are on some pictures but not all so hopefully it is also just a light reflection... decided to just approve and hope for the best! Will share pics when it arrives.

Rotor is fixed apparently they installed the tension spring in the wrong side of the clutch winding gear!
This looks so good on the wrist I'm going to have to get one. Waiting on my AP jumbo from AMF then this is next. I'm going to have to upgrade my car now though as in your Porsche that watch compliments. Will look a bit ott in my A4 Avant dad mobile lol

Did they send photos of the movement too?

Here it is. Pretty good... but the small bridge with the 240 is way darker than the other engravings (I.e. it isn't just the lighting). I don't think the gen is like that.

Here is my amateurish test:

1) Let the watch fully power down.
2) Shake the watch for 10-20 secs. Make sure the rotor spins in both directions because the rotor of lots of automatic watches only winds the watch unidirectionally.
3) Let the watch stay in rest until it stops running.
4) Repeat 2-3) a couple of times.
5) If the watch still keep running right after the last step 2) then the rotor does power up the watch. In this case the next question is if the spinning rotor is able to keep the watch continuously running. Most gen and rep automatic watches should work that way but some rep movements can't (eg. A7751, at least in my Longines reps).
My 5712 with A240 clone movement works fine.

Depend on the activity you have....
Do not expect a micro rotor to recharge the watch specially if you have an office job. it will "just" maintain the charge.
It is similar on Gen even if a bit more efficient with a solid gold heavier rotor....
