[CONSENSUAL LIST] Super Reps NWBIGs

Amazing list. For new guys like me this makes it so much easier than going through all of the topics.

Before ariving at this topic I did go through all the topics on the IWC Portofino and I thought that the MK V4 would be on the list as a "Super Rep".
From what I've read it seems the only real tell is the non-decorated movement, but since it's a closed back it would count as super rep.

Does anyone else think this deserves to be labled "Super Rep"?

Both have had good reviews and are classified NWBIG. I am not suggesting that they are super-reps, but these might deserve a look over and added into one of the lower categories.

There are detailed reviews on both models which can be found by a quick search. From what I have read, the flaws are minimal.

I would consider BK as an "out of the box" rep. The generalized definition of the phrase is a watch that you buy and wear on your wrist immediately after receiving it. Members who buy an OOTB rep and go to mod their watches further with gen parts or upgraded movements...now that's a whole different story.

Yeah, but buying from BK means waiting 6 weeks before you get your watch, exactly like if you were buying it from a "regular TD" and sending it to a modder... so it's not really an OOTB rep.

Of course, it's my opinion and I'd be glad to change it with a good argument. :-D

After checking, it's not a Super Rep, but definitely a First Class one. Thanks.

(Markers, date font, SELs, spacing, back, many little tells but overall a great rep)

Should the Tudor Black Bay Red be updated to reflect the shield one, as the rose is an easy spot on the older version?

That's why I had to get rid of mine. The new ZF BB is pretty spot on.

H factory swiss eta, it's damn near perfect out of the box. I'm a huge Breitling guy. In my opinion this is the closest to gen out of any rep I have owned. the previous owner had a Prof crystal installed. That took it to a whole new level. Gen breitling A.R. shouldn't have a blueish tint like many of the reps have.

No worries, your working you ass off in this thread. The left rose pedal in the Tudor Black Bay (previous to shield addition) is missing. A very minor detail but when you look at the watch straight on you can see the missing pedal. This thread has a user who drew in the missing pedal and can bring it to your attention. The first reports of the Shield Tudor Black Bay is that they nailed it.
