V1 logo seems to be quite seamless like gen compared to V2

V1 white/silver dial is very good. Many people will not be able to tell the difference between it and gen.

Absolutely sick!! Looks so amazing, that was really worth it!!! Who did the build?

Also what happened to the black dial? You are building that into another franken?

I would also love to have an royal oak franken but the 15400 just looks too large on my wimpy arm. And unfortunately there aren't any good replicas of the smaller 14790 afaik.

I got this blue genuine rolex daydate super luminova dial that will be installed in my second franken project though :)

Nice Rolex dial. I have been building Royal Oak Frankens myself. I prefer the 15300 for its classic size of 39mm. Just those extra 2mm on the 15400 do make it a bit too chunky for many.

You guys are waiting in vain. The Chinese dial makers can only achieve so much.

Its the waiting game, just like Rolex Subs 3-4 years ago from Noob, wasnt perfect at all. Today even with V7 which is nearly flawless yet people are unsatisfied. I say, if JF is invested in 15400s, give it a couple of years. Maybe in year 2020 we will only see a true 1:1 copy, since technology and hardware is getting more accessible to china manufacturers, they will keep up in no time soon.

Comparing side-by-side just demonstrates how close the rep dials are to gen. Nearly everything is spot-on, and that's with the luxury of analyzing a hi-res static photo! That being said, nothing seems to compare to the intangibles of a GEN.

Thanks @slaughterer62 for taking the time to share photos!

Wait so someone correct me if I'm wrong:

V1 15400 had the fat logo, then V2 also had the fat logo but got an update to the slim logo (referred to as new v2 dial) but gen 2017 (And also 2015/2016) have a fat logo?

Just trying to brush up on some AP know how ha.
