Well, clean can offer 18k gold custom made case and bracelet. That's about 15-16k dollars to do so. Then the weight will be very close to gen

Cool. I'd never spend more than a few hundred quid on a fake. 15k buys a solid gold genuine Breguet or Omega, I'd have that instead!

Clean has really stepped up their game. They released the platona (both dials), will release soon the 116509 blue dial, 116523 blue racing dial and they fixed the gray & white racing dials 116519.

I'm hoping & praying they release a real meteorite Daytona 116519 as well. We really need this from Clean.

We'll see. I see alot on WeChat as well but many of the Meteorites are BUFF dials inserted into BTF or CF bases.

I think 15k if the weight is right, and this being so close to gen, is a bargain, if you want it "spot on". I've done this with a Rolex rainbow from AMF and boy it's close. The ONLY way you will get called out is the gen is around $A800k so I tell people I "built it myself for waaaaaay less"

I ordered the 116515LN RG Choco dial with sticks and Oysterflex.

Only downside: when studying the QC pics I realized ... there's a little flaw with the CF rep that I didn't notice before:
The numbers on the subdials are a little bit too small compared with the gen:



But ok, I can live with that ... I've seen much worse things in life, lol.
Maybe they improve that with upcoming versions?! ... we'll see


side note:
As you can see, on the Choco Daytona (Chocotona, hah?!) the lettering of the actual watch (photo from Chronext) is pretty close to the "show rendering" from ROLEX's website. In the rendering they also use the exact same fonts, letter spacing etc. as in real life ... this is not always the case.
Even now / today there are quite some models where the lettering of the render doesn't match the actual real life watch / dial.

e.g. here (especially "COSMOGRAPH" font / letters "R A P" are wrong):




... completely wrong fonts, letter spacing etc. on both Platona renderings, WTF?!:




Sadly it seems, for some models CF took the official (but "wrong"!) renderings as reference ... that's a pitty ... maybe they also correct that with upcoming versions ... and hopefully they get it right with the blue 116509 and the Platonas!

I prefer 116519 meteorite (Oyster Flex). The 116509 is too much metal. These watches need contrast.
